Recap

Seth's POV

"Aislin...?" I whispered. She shook her head and sighed, "I-I'm a little tired...can we talk about this later?" I sighed and nodded, "Of course, love." Before she could move, I wrapped my arms around her and gently pressed my lips against hers in a short and sweet kiss. But the thing that hurt most was that she didn't kiss back.

I pulled away and she nodded at me before turning around and heading to her room. I felt another twing of hurt as I watched her enter her room and slam the door shut.

Slowly, I turned around and headed downstairs to talk to Jake. Something had happened between Chris and Aislin. And now I had to figure out what it was.

End of Recap

Aislin's POV

My mouth felt so dry after I'd spoken to Seth earlier. I just didn't know what to say to him because first of all, I was still in shock after I realized that he came home and all and secondly...I felt guilty for what happened between me and Chris.

I swallowed--my tongue feeling like a big, dry lump in my mouth--and looked over at the clock. It was now 6:56 which meant that dinner here was almost near. I got off of the bed I was sitting on and began to pace around the room.

I remembered the way Seth had kissed me earlier when I hadn't kissed back. The way his lips eagerly and sweetly pressed against mine. His lips felt like smooth velvet but then the look on his face when he pulled back showed a little bit of rejection because I hadn't kissed back. I didn't because I was too guilty to do so. Now I felt even more guilty after that kiss.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, "Things just keep getting better and better..." I grumbled quietly before hearing someone knock on the door and open it. For some odd reason, I expected it to be Chris but instead it was Seth.

His eyes scanned the room until he found me and he smiled gently at me. Oh that smile... I swallowed and tried my best to put on my own smile. I could imagine it looking a little guilty and scared at the same time.

Seth closed the door and came over to me, eyeing me with nothing but love and compassion in his eyes. I bit my lip. The tension in the room was a little awkward so I was the first to speak, "H-hey..." Dammit! I need to stop stuttering...

Seth raised an eyebrow slightly before smiling genuinely at me, "It's almost dinner." I nodded, "Y-yeah...I k-know..." I gritted my teeth and frowned slightly at the quiver in my voice. Seth made a funny look briefly but didn't question it.

The tension then got a little stronger until Seth folded his arms and sighed, "Can we just...talk for a moment?" I rubbed the back of my neck and nodded but said nothing more.

Seth took a deep breath before speaking, "Please tell me what happened?" I looked at him and sighed, "Nothing happened..." He eyed me warily before sitting down on the edge of the bed and patting the spot next to me. Instinctively, I sat next to him.

Seth was quiet for a moment before he looked up at me, "Aislin, I know when something's up. Tell me." He whispered softly. When I didn't respond, he used one of his fingers to go under my chin and bring my face up to meet his.

I bit my lip and for a moment, his eyes flickered down at them then back at my eyes. I sighed, "I...nothing happened." I said quietly. He sighed impatiently and took his hand away before turning his head slightly.

A couple seconds later, he looked back at me but this time had a strange look in his eyes. Yeah, his expression was still soft but in his eyes was nothing but fiery anger burning in them. I flinched at his gaze and he spoke hoarsly, almost as if it hurt him to ask, "Did he hurt you, Aislin? Did he...touch you...?" He asked bitterly.
