Recap
Aislin's POV
I felt my heart speed up and my body wrack with pain but that all began to subside as I slowly seeped into unconciousness. But the last thing I remembered was a siren being heard and my own words coming out of my mouth in a whisper:
"Everything he said was a lie."
And that's when I fell into a comforting world of darkness; no longer feeling pain or sadness.
And I welcomed it.

Seth's POV
Once I had heard the news that Aislin had been hit by a car and was in a coma, I hadn't left her side in all the 4 months she'd been in the hospital. I had a feeling that the reason she was hit was my fault because I hadn't been there with her. Instead, I had skipped school to catch up history with one of my old friends, Stacy Ridge, a pure-bred werewolf. Her family was one of the most popular and richest families in the vampire/werewolf council and they had to have great protection for her family. Considering pure-breds were very powerful and unique.
So when I had drove into the school parking lot with Stacy so we could explain to Principal Vincent why I hadn't been in school, she had taken my hand in hers which was a gesture of comfort to our kind. It didn't mean anything of romance only friendship. But it could be of romance if you wanted it to though it didn't in that situation.
But when we had left the school building, we had heard sirens coming from WaterWay Street (I just made it up) and I had heard Aislin had been hit rather roughly by a car. The moment she was placed in the hospital, I haven't left her side. I didn't care about eating or sleeping, showering I did care about, but other than that, the only thing I cared about was Aislin.
It had been four months and she was still in a coma. I was sitting next to the bed she was lying on, just studying her beautiful features and how most of her body was in a cast. She had four broken ribs, her left arm had been broken in two, she fractured her right knee, her head had been cracked open from the back and she had numerous cuts, bruises and scars all over areas of her skin. I was devasted just looking out how badly she was injured.
I was holding her hand when the door opened and her family came in. Ms. Smith smiled at me as Amber and Andrew both went to Aislin's side. Tears were flowing down both their cheeks as they looked at Aislin. "Still no sign?" Ms. Smith whispered as she came over to stand next to me. I shook my head and felt a tear slip from my eye. I looked at Aislin and how her beautiful face held no expression. Just blankness. And how her eyes remained unopened and trapped in the world of darkness.
I sighed and sat back in my chair as I let my eyes roam over to Amber's belly. It had grown immensly over to the past four months and was now large enough to hear the fetus and speak to it. It was now November 16 and the baby was due in two months around January 13. I swallowed deeply and realized how dry my throat was, "Did you find out if the baby was a boy or girl yet?" I asked her.
Amber nodded, "It's going to be a boy." I nodded and looked down at my hands when I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Andrew smiling down at me sadly, "Thanks for being here for my sister, Seth. I'm actually starting to warm up to the fact that you're a good match for her." I smiled back at him, "Thanks." I looked back at Aislin who was motionless and let out a deep sigh and looked up at Amber, "What will you name your child?" She shrugged, "Probably Aiden or Ashton. Something like that." She whispered back.
I let out a chuckle, "It's strange how all your names start out with an A." Ms. Smith smiled but it went away when she looked at Aislin, "It is strange. It's even stranger how I chose a daughter who had a name starting with an A as well." She said, deep in thought. I backtracked on her words and let out a short laugh, "You say chose as if she isn't your real daughter." Ms. Smith looked me straight in the eyes then looked at Andrew and Amber who looked at her at the same time.
My smile dissapeared as I stood up, "She isn't your daughter, is she?" I said quietly. Ms. Smith frowned sadly, "Please, Seth, don't say a word to anyone." I nodded, "I promise not to tell anyone but...how?" She let out another sad laugh, "Well, her real parents, Olivia and Robert Blue had been physically abusing her when she was three years old and their neighbors had found her one day sleeping next to a tree in the backyard while it was raining. They said she had bleeding wounds all over her legs and arms and she was crying in her sleep. So they had called the police and removed her of her parents care. And at the same time, when I had found out I couldn't have any more children through birth after I had Amber, I decided to adopt and heard her story. So I adopted her." She said as tears fell down her cheeks as she looked at her unconcious daughter.
I let out a breath of air, "Have you told Aislin?" Ms. Smith nodded, "We told her the morning she'd been hit by that car." She let out a sob and began crying her eyes out. I felt my face soften as her son began to comfort her and looked down at the ground. Aislin was adopted. I couldn't believe it. She looked so much like Amber and Andrew. She even looked like her mom. "But if she's adopted, how come she looks so much like your family?" I asked. Amber shrugged, "We don't really know. I've always thought that maybe we're somehow related for real through some part of our family bloodline."
I nodded and rephrased the names of her biological parents names. Olivia and Robert Blue. Those names sound extremely familiar and I looked up at Andrew, knowing that he himself knew he was half vampire, "Andrew, those names sound familiar in the community, don't they?" He thought about it for a second, "Actually, yes, they do." Amber looked confused, "Community? What community?" I raised an eyebrow at her mother, "You haven't told her?" Ms. Smith shook her head and looked at her daugher. "Tell me what?" Amber asked, now impatient."
Her mother sighed, "Darling, just let me tell you, I would never lie to you and what I'm about to tell you is not a lie." Amber nodded as her mother continued, "You're half vampire, as well as Andrew, me and Aislin, and Seth is half werewolf and vampire." Amber's eyes widened and was about to protest when I spoke, "If you don't believe it, I can always prove it to you." I said, threatening in a joking kind of way. Andrew laughed lightly and Amber shook her head, "No...I believe you but...how?"
Andrew sighed, "The same way how crickets give birth. We don't actually know." Amber nodded and looked at me, "You're half werewolf?" I nodded. She let out a low whistle, "Well, now I can see why Aislin loves you so much." I gave a small smile and looked at Aislin.
Ms. Smith let out a sigh and looked at the clock on the wall before going over and kissing Aislin's forehead and heading towards the door, "We should probably get you kids to school." She sniffed before heading out the door. Andrew started to walk after her mother, along with Amber, when they both turned around to look at me, "Are you going to come or..." Amber started. I nodded and went over to kiss Aislin goodbye. I had been here for a pretty long while and figured my grades were starting to go down.
I started heading towards the door and before I went out and closed the door, I turned around to look at Aislin and said, "I love you." before closing the door and following after her brother and sister.
