Celeste's POV
I missed him already. I love hanging out with Andi. The day has been a fun one so far. The weather was particularly sunny, so we took the girls over to Andi's to go swimming. Afterthey grew tired of that, we ate pizza and ice cream while we watched movies. By the end of the second movie, the girls were fast asleep. So we took them up to Zoe's room for a nap.
Andi didn't have any wine, -she forgot to buy some- so we clinked glasses of this tropical fruit juice that Zoe and Reuben love. "Cheers to love," Andi said, putting a smile on my face.
"Cheers to love," I repeated before bringing my glass to my lips. The juice was fruity and quite tasty on my tongue. "Not bad," I told her with a nod. I'm going to have to buy some of this for the house.
The house that belongs to Rade, which I'm still living in. I haven't felt like a roommate in the last few days. I've felt like a girlfriend, maybe even a wife. It's strange. This feeling. His house has become a home, and I'm not sure I want to leave anymore.
I told him I was going to move out as soon as I could get back on my feet. I got a call back from one of the places that I interviewed for as a dietary aide. I will be serving food to patients with strict dietary instructions. It's not exactly where I want to be, but it's a start towards my dream of becoming a doctor.
"So... about those love bites on your neck," Andi pointed out with a knowing smile as she took another sip of her juice. "They look fresh."
"They are." I thought about lying to Andi and saying I accidentally burned myself with my curling iron, but we both know I don't own a curling iron, and the red marks on my neck were obviously from Rade. "He gave them to me this morning."
Andi's smile stretched. "You two are so hot."
She sounds just like Kendall. Both of them are obsessed with our relationship. Andi is glad I found someone who treats me better than Sam and Kendall's still in disbelief by the fact that her boss can actually show affection. I'm going to have to get these two to meet some time. Or maybe I should keep them as far away from each other as possible.
My phone buzzed on the table, and Andi and I both glanced down at the screen.
Rade: I miss you.
"Yup. You two are definitely getting married," Andi said with a nod of certainty.
I chuckled, my heart fluttering at Rade's text. He hasn't texted me all day, and I assumed it was because he was busy. Besides, he's not much of a texter anyway. Which is the complete opposite of me. I love to text. Though I didn't text him at all today, so he probably thinks I'm having fun without him.
I picked up my phone to text him back. Andi just watched and smiled giddily like we were in middle school, and I was talking to my first ever crush.
Me: I miss you too.
Rade: I want a hug.
I smiled.
Me: Where are you?
Rade: I'm with Ace. I'll send you the address.
Seconds later, I received an address. I let him know I'll be there shortly and set my phone down. If he's with Ace, then he probably has another fight tonight. I still didn't agree with his method of "letting off steam," but I was willing to support him.
"Did he really just ask you for a hug?" Andi asked incredulously, a shocked expression on her face. "That is not the same man I met months ago. What the hell did you do to him?"
I shrugged. I wasn't, so I ever did anything to make him this way. I think he's always been this way and just found the right person he can let his guard down with. He's himself around me just as I am him.
