Rade was gone when I woke up the next morning. I was a little disappointed. I was hoping to cuddle some more. I checked to see if he left anything for me on the nightstand. Nothing.

I stayed in bed a little longer, reveling in his scent as I thought about how he'd held me last night. Somehow, I'd managed to be on my best behavior and not provoke him any more than I already had.

Last night, he held me in his arms, and we went to sleep. And strangely enough, it was far more intimate than the times he spent with his mouth on my sex. There was something so passionate about being that close to one another.

I glanced over at his side of the bed where he had slept, my palm smoothing over the pillow he'd laid his head on. His smell still lingered on the sheets. Sweet and musky.

Picking up the pillow, I hugged it to my chest, and I stayed there for a while. I didn't move until about fifteen minutes later when I knew I couldn't stay like this forever, and my day had to start at some point.

I showered, styled my hair up into a neat low bun, and threw on a black graphic tee that had a picture of Selena on it along with a pair of black leggings. Today was Saturday, and I was looking to have a relaxing day without any drama.

I stopped by Everly's room to find she wasn't in there. So I went downstairs to make myself some coffee, thinking she might be eating breakfast. While breakfast had been made, nothing but a half-eaten plate of food had been left.

Wondering where she had gone, I decided I'd ask Rade. I found him exactly where I thought he'd be. In his gym jabbing at his punching bag. Only, Everly was on the other side of the bag, her hands covered with pink gloves as she also jabbed at the bag.

I entered the room, a smile on my face as I watched Rade teach Everly how to box. She had a stance similar to his. Feet apart and fists raised. She took another swing at the bag, and Rade nodded in approval.

"Good. Again."

She swung again. Rade held the bag between his inked hands, instructing Everly with a firm but gentle tone. And each time she swung and her gloved fist connected to the red bag, he'd followed it with another praise.

"Good."

I knew Everly didn't notice me standing and watching because her back was to me. But Rade, he definitely saw me. He paused his training session with Everly to gaze at me. "Come here."

I shook my head. "Boxing's not really my thing."

"No harm in learning."

Everly turned, her smile bright, exposing the loose tooth that hasn't fallen out yet. Everly, and I didn't realize how stubborn this tooth would be. "Come on, mommy. It's fun."

"Okay," I said, giving in. I set my coffee cup down and made the short walk over to them. Rade stepped back, and I stepped in between him and the bag.

Everly moved out of the way and started jabbing at the air like she was Rocky Balboa.

Rade gently kicked my feet apart, instructing me on how to stand. I felt my ass brush against him, and blood rushed to my cheeks.

His hands fell to my hips as he leaned down, his lips grazing my ear as he spoke. "You want to twist your body as you jab." He guided my movements, and I felt like we were dry humping.

Thank goodness Everly wasn't paying any attention to us. She was too busy in her own little boxing world.

One hand moved over to my right arm and slid down to my unfurled hand. His touch burned, and I struggled to keep from moaning like a pervert. He was trying to teach me, and here I was, thinking about what those hands could and have done to me in bed.

"Are you nervous?" He asked in a whisper, his warm, minty breath fanning my face.

"No," I lied.

"Are you sure? Because you're shaking like a leaf."

I didn't even realize I was trembling until he mentioned it. My face is beyond flush now. I felt his hand squeeze and caress my hip, and I couldn't concentrate on anything else but that.

My hand was balled into a fist, Rade's hand hovering over mine. "Now, you're going to hit the bag."

He stepped back, and I did as instructed and punched the bag. I was surprised not only by how powerful I felt, but by effortless I'd made it seem. I felt like a real boxer. I turned around to him with a beaming smile.

Rade smirked. "Good girl."

I almost dropped to my knees hearing him praise me. I loved it. So much so that I turned, and I hit the bag again just to hear him praise me again.

"You learn fast. Well done, ómorfi(beautiful)."

Okay, maybe boxing is my thing.

After meeting up with Andi for lunch, I came home to Everly jumping around and squealing about how her tooth finally fell out.

She held out her palm, revealing the little white tooth with dried blood on it. I was a little grossed out by the sight but amazed at the same time.

"I'm going to put it under my pillow for the tooth fairy!" She said excitedly.

"How much money do you think the tooth fairy is going to give you?"

"Three dollars," she said proudly. Quite the drastic change from the number she'd said the last time. She made it seem as if three dollars were worth millions. To her six year old little mind, it probably did. Then she ran off, probably to put her tooth under her pillow.

"Rade," I called, looking around for him.

"In here," a faint voice replied.

I went into the dining room. He was sitting in his usual spot, his brows pulled into a deep frown. His eyes didn't show much, but when they did, a lot of emotions swirled in them. He appeared to be in deep thought, and I wasn't sure whether he was angry or sad in that moment.

"What's wrong?"

He wasn't making eye contact, and I thought something had to be terribly wrong. I was certain he was about to give me the worst news ever.

So I said in a shaky panic, "Is Harvey-"

"No."

I sighed with relief, then grew tense all over again. "Then..."

"He's awake."
