Three weeks later (Epilogue)
Celeste's POV
He lost. I was given full custody to our daughter, and according to the restraining order against him, he isn't allowed within 100 feet of me. It's not how I wanted things to end between us. But it's what is best until he sobers up and gets the help he needs.

I'm not exactly sure what went down between Rade and Sam that night, but he became a whole lot nicer after the fact. Though, not nice enough to keep from fighting me in the custody of our daughter.

I was relieved the judge saw me better fit to parent our daughter despite how bad of a mother he tried to paint me. Thankfully, the judge didn't believe any of the bullshit he was spewing and granted me full custody.

Sometimes I want to be a bitch and never allow him to see his child again. But I don't have it in me. Not when I know how much Everly loves her dad and he loves her. So for now, a phone call or two a week is all he's getting until he gets his shit together. Maybe then I'll allow supervised visits. But only after he's out of rehab.

As for Camille, I wouldn't say we're friends, but I hate her a little less. Rade told me what he did for her. I'm glad she was able to start fresh elsewhere. Especially after just giving birth to a healthy baby boy a few days ago. He looks just like Sam. One can only hope he doesn't inherit anything else.

Camille and I have decided to keep in touch. I only agreed for the sake of the children. With their dad in rehab, they're going to need each other now more than ever.

Speaking of children, I finally went to see a fertility doctor. Turns out, Sam was right. I was the reason we weren't able to get pregnant. But not because I'm infertile, but because of stress. And now that I'm free of that stress, the doctor believes I can, in fact, have another baby. I just hope Rade wants children some day.

"Celeste?"

"Hmm?" Torn from my thoughts, I looked up at Rade, who had just entered the bathroom while I was curling my hair.

I gave his appearance a quick once over. He looked handsome, as per usual. He was wearing a dark blue suit that looked more black than blue. The jacket was left open, the two buttons of his dress shirt undone, just barely exposing his tatted chest underneath.

I was a little sad when he decided to cut his long, beautiful hair. It's not terribly short, but the man bun is no more.

"The limo is here."

I'd heard him. Even saw his mouth moving. But my thoughts were only on how badly I wanted to skip tonight, get him naked, and keep him naked. I'm sure it wouldn't have taken much convincing if the party wasn't for him.

He's being honored with a special reward tonight for his generous contributions to a number of charities over the years.

Finishing up with my hair, I put everything away and went back into the bedroom to grab my phone and purse. Then we headed out to the limo, where Rade glared at the chauffeur for opening my door for me. The poor chauffeur looked like he'd seen a ghost and didn't dare help me with anything after that. He let Rade open and close my door as well as escort me into the building where the event was taking place.

"You couldn't let him do his job?" I questioned, coiling my fingers around his bicep as we made our way over to our table.

"His job? You're not his job. You're mine."

He pulled out my chair, and I took a seat. "You're not even my chauffeur anymore."

Thalia and her husband, along with Harvey, were already seated at the table. They all looked at us, curious to know what we were talking about.
