Y/n stared at her mother in disbelief, anger bubbling inside her. "You killed my sister because she cared about me?!" you whispered, tears brimming your eyes. Your mother looked away, frowning. "...I've come to regret it," she said.

You stared at her incredulously, stop.

"I wasn't right in the head back then." She sighed, frowning at the flames. "After your father's death, I," she paused, choking up. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "After he died, it was like something in me shattered."

Stop.

"He was my everything," she mumbled, smiling sadly.

Please!

"I couldn't handle his death." She turned to you, tears welling in her eyes. Y/n stared at her with wide eyes, trembling. "And every time I look at you." Her tears spilled over as she got up. She cupped your cheek with both hands.

"I'm reminded of him. You really are." She dropped to her knees, holding your hands. "The spitting image of your father." You couldn't hold them back anymore. Tears spilled from your eyes as you fell, your mother catching you.

You cried as she pulled you close, resting a hand against your head as she held you. "Please forgive me, my child," she whispered, her mind going to Kazuya. "I will love your sister as I had loved you."

Transparent red locks swayed into view. A girl in a white dress stood behind her mother, staring down at them. Her lips curled into a smile as she sat down. She wrapped her arms around the two, a lone tear falling.

Not that they felt it.

"It's about fucking time, mother."

Not that they heard her.

Regardless, she can finally rest in peace, no longer needing to worry about her sister and mother.

The Haitani brothers nervously shared a look before turning back to Kiyoko.

"She's been staring at us since we got here," Ran whispered.

"I know."

Ran leaned down again, "Do you think she's mad?"

"Most likely."

They both flinched as she rose from her chair. She started to make her way to them, both breaking out in a sweat. "She's coming this way," Ran hissed while nervously smiling. Rin kept his face void as he nodded.

The others in the room fixed them with a cold glare as she came closer. Kiyoko stopped in front of them, crossing her arms as she stared them down.

"You have some nerve showing your face here, Haitanis," she announced coldly. "So, what brings you here? I'm sure you wouldn't come to the Akatsuki's hideout for nothing."

Ran nudged Rin, who shot him a glare. "We didn't know you were holding a meeting." he turned to the other members. Their expressions turned darker as he glared. "But we wanted to talk privately," he said, emphasizing the last word.

"Well, you'll have to come back another time," Kiyoko announced, turning around. "It's about Y/n," Ran said softly. She stopped, her heel clicking against the tile, echoing in the room.

"Everyone out. We'll continue same time tomorrow," Kiyoko waited as they rose and bowed before leaving. She glared over her shoulder. "Is she hurt?" They took a step back from her outburst as she stalked toward them, hair fluttering from the sudden movement.

For the longest time, they had known Kiyoko was someone who never showed emotion. She defeated rival gangs with precise attacks and never wavered. She had made a name for herself, feared by many. Just the mere utter of her name will send others into a flurry. She put her gang before herself, fighting at the front lines. She saw it as her duty as the gang's leader.
