I should pay my respects at the shrine, Y/n thought as she started heading toward the woods. You had decided to go the festival that was held when it started to rain.

The ground was slick with leaves and mud. So, you had to go at a snail's pace.

"Guess we gonna have to remind you who you really are." You perked up as you turned to the top of the stairs. The water pitter-pattered against the umbrella, and then the sound of fighting filled the area.

Your eyes widened, and you quickly but carefully made your way up the decaying steps.

You watched as a group of men in familiar-black clothing stood in a circle. One had his foot pressed against someone who was tied on the floor.

Your eyes narrowed, recognizing the mop of blonde hair. Takemichi?

"I don't like that look in your eyes. You don't understand anything." He dug his heel deeper. "It's over. It's all over. I'm gonna have you take the fall for all this!"

A sudden hit echoed through the air as the guy hit the ground with a thud. "Sorry, but I happen to know this guy. So that won't be happening," Y/n announced back to the group. The umbrella blocks their view of your masked face. This thing came in handy.

You stared down at Takemichi. He looks pretty beat up. "And who the hell is this bitch?"

You glanced at him as he stood, glaring from under the rim. You faced them fully and smiled. "Ah, gomen. I saw that you were beating up my friend. And I can't really let that go~"

He blinked at you in confusion as he scoffed. "Oh, and what are you gonna do about it, little miss." Your smile dropped. "Come closer, and you'll see."

Your aura shifted, bloodlust seeping from you, stopping him in his tracks. What is this?! he thought, his hands shaking. He wanted nothing more than to show this bitch up. Instead, he merely nodded and told his guys to leave. Slowly they disappeared behind the trees. "What are you up to, Takemichi?" You asked, pulling the tape off his mouth. He was about to answer but started coughing. You sighed, "Save your breath." You snapped your eyes to the forest, narrowing as the bushes rustled.

A female with darkish-pink hair came out. She stopped short, cowering from your intimidating figure. Your eyes don't soften, "Are you perhaps lost?" you asked, taking the mask off. She shyly inched closer, shaking her head. "I'm actually looking for someone. He tends to get in a lot of fights, so he probably looks beaten up." the last part was said with a bit of annoyance.

"Is he a blonde?"

"Yes."

You glanced at Takemichi, "Are you perhaps his girlfriend?" She stopped at the bottom of the steps, looking up at you with a bright smile, her cheeks red. "Yes, I am!"

Your eyes widened as you looked at her smiling face. They narrowed, a look of longing filling your e/c eyes, she must really be in love with him...

"Well, you weren't wrong about him looking beaten up," you replied after a beat of silence. You made your way down the steps, stopping in front of her. "I'll be leaving then. It was nice meeting you."

You turned to leave, but she grabbed your wrist. "Wait, can I know your name?"

"My name is Y/n L/n." She smiled, "Nice to meet you! My name is Hina Tachibana." You nodded and glanced at her hand. "Can I have my arm back?" She jumped and quickly released you. "Try not to stay too long. You guys might catch a cold."

She smiled as you walked away. The sound of the rain falling filled the moist air. You glumly stared at the ground. A bit envious of Tachibana.

A sudden pain in your head caused you to stumble. Images flashed through your head again before slowly focusing on one.

The guy you had kicked before stood with five others in front of Takemichi. Hina and Emma were near a bloodied Draken. A sudden scream cut through the air of the back road they were standing on.

"I've found you~" Y/n whirled around to see a towering figure swagger from behind a tree. Even with the rain, you recognized his tattoos. Sin and punishment, you thought, eyes narrowing. This must be Hanma Shuji. He chuckled and was before you in seconds.

You reeled back, but he had caught you off guard. In one fell swoop, he had you on his shoulders.

...

You blinked as he casually started walking away. "...What are you doing?"

"I'm taking you with me. A friend of mine wants to meet you." You punched his back as you tried to break free. "Put me down." He merely laughed as you continued to struggle in vain.

You stopped, from what you knew, Hanma wasn't one to act like this out of his own accord. He was the type to fight headlong in a battle to the death, all the while taking pleasure in it.

You could think of dozens of ways to get out of his hold, but for once you were a bit curious. You weren't wearing a kimono this time, so you would have no problem getting out of his grip. You had opted not to wear one even though Emma did her best to change that. You didn't want to wear one.

Especially after what happened last time.

"Finally, given up━" In a series of maneuvers, you had Hanma on the floor.

Y/n dug her knee deeper into his back. "How annoying." You stepped off and fixed your long coat. "So, who was it that sent you again?" Even with a mere vine from a tree, he was secured pretty tightly after you tied him up.

He tries to break the vines but gives up after a while. "Hmm, you're pretty good at this," he mumbles as he sits up. "Just like he said." You don't react and that causes him to grin. "He said you weren't much of a talker either."

You lift your chin and stalk closer. "I asked you a question, Hanma Shuji." Your gaze turns colder and glints with malice. "Don't make the daughter of the Scarlet Spiders, repeat herself."

"So, you are Mrs. Chisuke's daughter," a voice says from behind. You slowly turn around. "I figured you'd come out yourself, if I said that," you say, as you fix the newcomer with an unimpressed look.

His eyes widen slightly behind his golden rimmed glasses. "The rumors don't do you justice," he says as he steps closer and into the light. "My name is Tetta Kisaki," he introduces with a smile and pauses. You raise a brow. "And I'm supposed to know who that is?" you drawl.

He chuckles as he lifts his glasses higher, the light reflecting off them. "I'd assumed Kiyoko would've said something about me."

"She didn't." You tilt your head to the side and give him a bored look. "I wouldn't either, seeing how you carry yourself." He pauses. "What?"

You grin, your expression devoid of emotion and your eyes cold as you step closer. "You're the type that thinks of an entire plan, with an endgame," you say as you circle him. "You have every step planned out. Years into the future, down to the present moment." You come up from his other side. "From the look in your eyes, it's falling apart because you've come across an unknown variable interfering," you say, causing him to move away, his eyes wide. Your smile drops as you tilt your head back, your eyes sending a shiver down his spine. "So, you need someone to get rid of it." You take a step closer to him. "Someone who has already killed before," you add, stopping right in front of Kisaki. "Like me."
