Day 7: Meddling Friends

Midoriya was currently lying in his room crying after an argument with Todoroki after training with Cortez on her Quirk and building some strength in her arms. Apparently, he thought it was too much for her and the dual-haired teen accused him of allowing the training despite telling him he was not using his own Quirk, but the Hot Pocket wasn't having it. This upset him so much that he ran back towards the dorms, crashed into Bakugou, and before the blonde was about to ask him what had happened, ran upstairs to his room without even dinner.

He was still sniffling when he heard a knock on his door and he heard Cortez's voice from behind. "Bunny? It's me, can we come in?"

"W-we?" Midoriya said in a nasally tone. "Who else is with you?"

"Just me, Tokoyami-kun, Uraraka-Chan, and Tsuyu-Chan." Cortez replied, "We just wanted to talk to you, especially since you skipped dinner."

"Deku-Kun, we bought some sandwiches and drinks." Uraraka said next, with a soft tone.

"And brought some games and movies as well, kero." Tsuyu replied. "We brought one of your favorite games, Charades: Hero Edition."

Midoriya got up and slowly opened the door, revealing one of his green eyes at the four of them, they looked a little dull. "No one else with you?"

"If you are wondering about Pommy, Kiri or Shotou, no they are not with us." Cortez said gently. She then gestured again if they could come inside.

"Oh," He said and opened the door for them. "Sorry, guys, I don't feel like having company for too long tonight."

"Nope, sorry Bunny." Cortez said while she sat on his bed and dragged him close to a hug. "We girls and Shadowbird here are going to hang out with you tonight, play games and watch a good movie."

"B-but, Todoroki-Kun said..." Midoriya said and immediately Cortez cut him off.

"Who cares about the Dodobird right now." She growled, and Midoriya slightly flinched. "I was the one who asked you to help me. He shouldn't have lashed out on you."

"Aura-Chan is right, besides on close observation you weren't using your Power Up Quirk and never used your legs, kero." Tsuyu said and put the sandwiches on the coffee table while Uraraka set down some drinks. "Even someone as dumb as Kaminari can see that."

Midoriya chuckled a bit and hugged his female friend's arms and looked at the others in soft content. "What about the rest of the group?" He asked and he then looked up at Cortez.

"Ahhhhh..." Cortez said with a slight sweatdrop. "Well, Pommy and Kiri were saying something about an intervention, so I will leave them to it."

"W-what?" Midoriya said, going wide-eyed in shock. "Kacchan is not going to kill him, right?"

"No, I don't think so." Tokoyami said calmly and gave the green-haired teen a rare smile. Then his shadow came out and it continued the conversation. "From what I heard, Bakugou, Kamininari, Kirishima, and Sero were going to have a serious talk with Todoroki."

"So, he's not pissed? Even when I crashed into him?"

"You ran into him?" Cortez repeated, surprised. Then she looked back in thought. "So that is why Bakugou asked me if something was wrong. When I told him the situation he had some kind of eerie calm about him that scared even me." Cortez then giggled, "He's definitely pissed, but it is not towards you."

"But Todoroki-Kun-"

"We'll know the situation if we hear Pommy say 'Die' and an explosion seconds later."

With that last statement, everyone else laughed and dug into the sandwiches and played a variety of games. Who knew Midoriya was good at charades, as he was so accurate in the Heroes Edition that he of course mimicked All Might, Aizawa, Present Mic, and even some female Heroes like Midnight, Ryukyu, and quite embarrassingly, Mt. Mountain. Everyone was laughing at his steamed tomato face, but he seemed a lot happier that night.

As for the movie, everyone completely forgot it. Seeing Bunny's happy face again was worth it.

-MEANWHILE-

Earlier Todoroki was nursing his left cheek where a handprint Cortez had left him and it hurt like hell, not only because of the impact but because the look of disappointment she gave him showed that he had hurt her.

He also made Midoriya cry which is definitely not good, and if the glares coming from those who witnessed the event was any indication was proof that he messed up big time.

Then there was Bakugou, who walked toward him with a certain calmness that made him unnerved as he was usually loud and likes to explode everything.

That was how he got into Bakugou's room along with Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero, all of whom saw the event and they too weren't happy.

"Mind telling me why Nerd ran into me crying?" Bakugou said quietly, not a good sign. He was definitely pissed.

Todoroki gulped. "I...yelled at Midoriya when I saw him and Aurora training focusing on arm strengthening. He was telling me what he was doing and how scaled back he was using his strength but I was not listening to reason." He then massaged his face again. "Apparrently I said something stupid and he just ran."

"I am guessing that is how you got a slap to the face?"

"..."

Kaminari growled and released a small amount of electricity. "What you did was uncalled for, Aura-chan is a Hero-In-Training. How is she going to become a Pro Hero if she does not regain her strength?"

Kirishima agreed. "Yeah, that was not manly, Todobro. Besides, if you took a look he never used his Quirk or his legs, which are his strongest point." Bakugou, Sero, and Kaminari nodded. "Even an idiot like Kaminari and see that."

"Hey!" Kaminari yelled with a massive tick mark.

"Relax Kamibro, I meant the dummy you when you max out on your Quirk."

"Yeah, but it still hurts." Kaminari said and sniffled in the corner. Sero had a sweatdrop and patted his back to comfort him.

"Seriously, Todoroki. I know she was hurt during the summer and you and your family were helping her. But you should understand." Sero said as he was giving some thought. "She was independent most of her life right? If she lost that independence suddenly, would you think she wanted to regain some if not all of that back?"

Todoroki widened his eyes as he thought about that, realizing he might have been overbearing or overprotective. He had noticed that she was getting irritable too whenever he tried to help her with the small details.

"I...I did not think of that." He said finally with his head hung in shame.

Bakugou just looked murderous and wanted to kill him. However, that mark on his face looks like it will last for several days.

"You will need to apologize to Deku, and I am sure you will have to do the same with Cortez." Bakugou said and waited a few moments, "I will let you know with the situation a normal apology will not be enough. You will have to work for it."

"...You aren't going to blast me?" Todoroki asked with a slight nerve in his voice.

"You just got slapped in the face by your girlfriend...that is much more painful." Bakugou smirked and drank the rest of his soda. "Now, all of you, GET OUT OF MY ROOM OR DIE!!"
