Inasa was watching Todoroki and Cortez having fun at the park during their break with a look of longing and sadness. Ever since Cortez beat him in the entrance exams and then exhibited her spicy personality he immediately got attracted to her, and she told Todoroki off for being an asshole.
However, that was not meant to be as when declined the offer to go to UA due to his hate he had personally ruined his chance to date her. Over a year later to his surprise Todoroki and Cortez eventually became a couple.
He was surprised at first and tried to fight it telling Todoroki that he is not worth the Thermal teen, but as he talked to him more and more he realized the dual-haired teen changed drastically in a good way. Apparently, Cortez was able to open him up and be more caring to everyone around him.
Inasa smiled as he could see that she was happy, much more vibrant than she was when they first met. He is still sad that he couldn't be with her instead, now that his crush will now forever be a secret.
