Day 21: Knuckle Kiss

Kaminari was currently training to improve his voltage tolerance without frying his brain too much. So far his max is 2.5 million volts and it was a good amount, but he needed to improve. He was almost fried when 9 summoned his thunderstorm and he had to use himself as a lightning rod to protect Bakugou and Midoriya from the lethal voltage. He nearly died too, come to think of it.

"Indiscriminate Shock: 2.5 Million Volts!"

Electricity coursed through the entire area and cracked the entire ground in a wide radius. After a few seconds, the ground started to clear and you can see the broken pieces of dirt. Kaminari felt tired and was going in and out of consciousness but was able to come back and stay alert.

"Good, I am getting better withstanding the energy. Pretty soon I should be able to be ready to go up to 3 Volts."

Kaminari took a few minutes and drank some water before going to the next level. He then came back to his training location and charged back up.

"Indiscriminate Shock: 3 Million Volts!"

He released another shockwave, this time bigger and wider than the first. He suddenly hissed in pain when he felt his hands feel strangely hot and had to stop his Quirk. Once the area died down he looked at his hands and was surprised that they were red and blistered.

"What the hell?" Kaminari said and winced when he tried to move them. They were injured by his own electricity, which has never happened before.

He needed to get Recovery Girl, but with the current swelling and pain he is dealing with, he knew he wouldn't be able to leave the building without opening the doors. He then walked towards his phone and used the voice call feature.

"VIRCA, message Aurora. Tell her I need her help."

"MESSAGE SENT, SHE WILL ARRIVE IN 5 MINUTES."

"Perfect" He walked towards the ocean side of training and put his hands in the water. Kaminari hissed and scrunched up his face as the pain multiplied from the salinity of the water touching his wounds. It hurt like hell but he needed to find a way to stop the heat from building up.

"Denki?" A voice was heard in the distance.

"Over here Aurora!" He yelled and saw his friend fly over to him.

"I received the message, what happened?" Aurora said in concern, and she gasped when he showed her his hands. "What the hell happened?"

Kaminari looked down at his hands. "I was doing some Indiscriminate Shock training when all of a sudden when I went to 3 million volts this happened. I think I may have reached my body tolerance."

"Let me help you a bit then we will go to Recovery Girl." Aurora said gently and lifted both his hands and kissed his knuckles creating a quick chill to numb the pain. Kaminari blushed at the scene and smiled at her in relief when he felt the pain disappear.

"Thank you, that knuckle kiss was nice." He said dorkily.

She smiled back. "I'm glad, now let's get your stuff and I'll fly you to Recovery Girl. Then we will talk about what had happened."

"Okay."
