Day 23: Hold Me in Your Arms

Cortez was flying around the area looking for her best friend Midoriya. She noticed him running in a way that indicated that he was upset, and that sent red flags. Bakugou and Todoroki were looking for him too when she asked them to look on the ground.

She searched in the USJ training area and did not find him or see any blasts of his training, then looked around Ground Beta, and Ground Gamma, no signs of him. Cortez then flew over the dorms and it was there when she saw a tuft of forest green hair.

"There you are Bunny." Cortez said as she landed next to him. "We were looking for you, we were supposed to go to the mall after school."

Midoriya looked at her briefly and immediately looked away, but not before she saw something that made her stomach lurch.

"S-sorry, Aura-chan. I got distracted, give me a few minutes and we will head out."

He started to walk away, avoiding eye contact, and started to walk towards the roof door.

"Izuku."

Midoriya flinched when he heard her call him by his first name. "Y-yes, Aura-chan?"

Cortez walked towards the greenette and gently grabbed his chin to look at his face. There on the right cheek, she had hoped she had imagined it, but she could now see a swollen red mark on his cute face. She became angry.

"Did Katsuki do this to you?" She said gently but it made Midoriya flinch again. She was mad, he could tell. She never uses first names unless she is upset, well, maybe except for Kaminari.

The greenette grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from his face, looking down. "No, he didn't. Kacchan would never hurt me like that."

"Then who did it?"

Midoriya was mentally warring with himself if he wanted to tell the truth or not. He couldn't lie to save his life so he told the truth. "A couple of girls at school did this."

Cortez squinted her eyes in anger. "Are they the same bitches who wouldn't leave you alone?"

Midoriya nodded. "After school one of them asked me if I wanted to go on a date with them." He said and started to withdraw into himself. "I told them no several times, and that is when one of the girls slapped me."

"They asked you out on a date when they knew you were with Pommy?" She was raging, she knew those girls knew he was gay and already taken. They hit him too for it, and that is what is making her dragon blood boil.

Midoriya nodded and tears started to fall. "Then they started to call me names, telling me it is wrong to have a relationship with another guy." He started hiccuping as more tears fell. "The called me a twink a-and f-"

"Shhhh." Cortez said and hugged him closer to her and wrapped her wings around the greenette. "Don't let them bother you, I will take care of it. Besides, you are happy with Pommy right?"

Midoriya nodded. He then felt Cortez slightly pick him up and leaned against the wall with him on top of her. From there he completely broke down and cried hard into her chest.

It broke Cortez's heart, to see him in this much pain. They will be tortured horribly, she will make sure of that.

"There you are, Deku." Bakugou said when he opened the roof door and saw his boyfriend. "I was waiting for you after school, where did you-what happened?"

He noticed Midoriya was crying in Cortez's arms, whose wings were wrapped around him in comfort. Bakudou walked towards them and kneeled next to them. "Aurora, what the hell happened."

Cortez looked down at the greenette for a few seconds before looking back at the blonde. "Someone hit Bunny across the face and left a mark." She said and immediately saw rage on his face. "They also made fun of him for his sexuality."

"What the hell? Why would they do this?" Bakugou said quietly and rubbed his hand on his boyfriend's back. Midoriya leaned back a bit to his touch. "Who are they?"

Cortez shook her head. "Let me handle this, they were a couple of girls who I am familiar with. They will remember our encounter."

The look of a mother dragon appeared from behind the winged teen and he knew they would be mortified, so he would leave her to it. He then coughed a bit. "I know you are comforting Deku, but can I join in?"

Cortez blinked and nodded in understanding. "Of course, c'mere so I can wrap you around my wings too."
