Do not be afraid, ink jar, I do not have the feared Writer's Block. I am simply writing a chapter addressing the stressful state of being.
WHAT is Writer's Block?:
For those of you who do not know, the term 'Writer's Block' refers to when you have either run out of ideas for stories/books/poems etc. Or when you're just bored with writing. It's a terrible rut to be stuck in—trust me.
HOW do I avoid Writer's Block?:
I would suggest-when starting a story-you plot out the major events in it. Then come up with the scenes list. This can be a burden and may seem like a lot so don't let it overwhelm you when writing a novel. Just start out with the basic plot points. When writing your book, you will then always know where it's going. Plus you'll see the scenes ahead which you're excited to get to which will motivate you to persevere! Another thing which you can do is write a little bit EVERY DAY!!! Either find a time, or write at random, but WRITE EVERY DAY!!! There are points where I don't feel like working on my novel, but I still make myself write something in it or for it a day. Sometimes I only write one sentence and then go to bed or a paragraph. It does not have to be a lot! I mentioned before that you can either write something in it or for it. What did I mean by for it? So I would suggest, get pumped up about your book—even if you're not writing directly in it!!! Make character profiles! Plot it out! Make a map for your countries! Draw your characters or creatures!!! These HELP!!! They really do! Plus, the more you become engrossed and dedicated to your story, the less likely you will be to pull out of it.
HOW can I get out of Writer's Block?:
My only suggestion for this is basically the same as in the last section which is: write every day!!! I cannot stress this point enough!!! It also helps to get re-inspired. Reading, watching movies, listening to music, walking in the woods, etc. can also be inspiring and drag you out of Writer's Block.
