chapter 15 the dreams

we finally get home and it's really dark. I don't really like the dark, not because I'm scared of it, but because of I'm scared of the unknown.

That's why most people are afraid of the dark, they're not scared of the dark itself, they're scared of what is inside of it and whatever it is I don't want to find out.

When we get inside we had to straight for his room he suggests we watching of the movie I suggested that we should play video games.

So we compromise and play a few rounds of mortal Kombat. Then we made some snacks and drinks and decided to sit down and watch a few movies. 

Now because of what happened last time scary movies I was a little if you about but there was a new one on there I really wanted to watch.

It was called slaughter house. The preview looked really good and we both were interested in watching it. 

Movie began and already there was a jump scare at the beginning. I did get closer to Lucas and even though I felt really bad about it at the same time I felt really good. 

He never pushes me away. I think it's because he's too nice, but  I just have this feeling that maybe just maybe he likes me back. Then again I could just be my fantasy leaking out into reality.

So if it is I'm going to just soak it all up while I can like a sponge when it touches water. More job scares later a really good movie ending and Lucas was asleep. 

He fell asleep but he fell asleep on my shoulder. I turned off the light and went to sleep with him. I didn't want to ruin the moment. I slip off into sleep.

 I had a weird dream. No not a dream, it was a memory, but it was scary.

 I don't know why that happens in my head, why do memories I that have already happen, that were not so scary the first time become more scary when I dream them again, but I also need to remember theses weren't dreams these are nightmares.

I'm sitting in a passenger seat of Tucker's truck. We just left a party and even though I didn't drink I still let him drive. I was scared because if I told him that I should drive I knew it would be a big fight. 

I knew what he would say and what he would do and I would feel terrible because he says always rude things that I know he doesn't mean but it doesn't stop it from hurting. 

We're driving and he's going a little too fast I'm telling him to slow down he doesn't listen in fact he goes faster.

He's yelling at me in the process of going faster and faster until I don't know where we see two shining bright lights.

They come closer and closer it was too late to swerve and we ended up heading it on impact. That's when I woke up The son was up. Lucas is still sleeping but I knew any minute his alarm would go off. 

I just lay there, closing my eyes, pretending I'm asleep. Not more than a minute later. Lucas's alarm goes off. He wakes up and pushes the snooze button. Then he grabs his phone and checks it. 

"Oh shit" Lucas says all excited

"What happened?" I ask

"Schools closed due to air conditioner not working" Lucas says while showing me  the email.

I grab my phone and check to see if I got the same email which I did and I also got two texts one from Alex and another from Tucker. 

I read the one from Alex first she said she's throwing a party tonight and that I'm invited and that I can bring Lucas if I want. I text her back and say I'm totally there.

Then I open the one from Tucker. Is a very long text and as I'm reading I realize he's breaking up with me.

Finally I am free. Maybe now but I don't have Tucker in my life, I won't have these nightmares anymore.

"Sweet I know what I'm doing" I say while grabbing my phone

"And what would that be?" Lucas asks

"Well if there's no school, then that means Alex already got word about it and her parents are gone for a week. So she just texted me that she's having a party tonight" I say explaining

"Cool can I come?" Lucas asks

"Of course why wouldn't you oh but it's going to cost you" I say teasingly 

"Okay what do I owe you?" Lucas asks with a suspicious tone

"You have to give my cat a bath" I say with a smile

" Ah dammit, really you know stradias hates baths" Lucas says

"That's the whole point it's so you have to do it and I don't and I can get you invited to the party"  "so what will it be? stay home by yourself or give my cat a bath and come to a party with me?" I say

"Fiiinnee I'll give your cat a bath" Lucas says with a sigh

"Yay well I'll go get her and we'll go from there be right back* I say while leaving his room
