Just you and I

chapter 9: unexpected

I walk out of the bathroom and go and grab my phone, before anything I save the voicemails and grab my stuff I hop in the shower after grabbing my clothes and just let the tears fall with the water but I don’t dare to make a sound. I stay there for a good five minutes until I get out and get dressed. 

I rush out of the bathroom and tell Lucas I'm ready to go. He says okay and we get in his car and go to school. I get out of the vehicle and I don't see Tucker or abby. But I see Jesse with a black eye. Oh God I wondered what went on at the party besides what I already heard and know

“Jess” I shout he turns around surprised his eye looking swollen

“Lily thank goodness you're okay” jess says all in one breath

“Jess,what was it that  happened at the party and why do you have a shiner? ” I say eagerly

“Uh,..... i hate to have to be the one to tell you this…. So at the party when I was trying to get his keys away from him, he ended up getting really angry and punched me in the eye which hurt a lot."

"So I went to go get some ice, while having his keys still with me” *sigh*

“As I was getting the ice, I saw Abby taking Tucker upstairs. naturally i followed them because i am exceptionally nosey, and i tried not to let them see me, but I saw that they ended up in a room alone together.

Although they closed the door so I couldn’t see anything, but I could hear everything” he takes a deep breath and continues

“I heard them both moaning and abby saying things. I'm guessing she was on  her phone but I'm not so sure."

"ten minutes later its already really late and none of them came out of the room so I went home and texted you as soon as I got home” he took a deep breath and continued talking

“you didn't answer so I was going to wait to tell you everything as soon as I saw you, so that's all I’m sorry ” he said with a frown

I smiled and said "it’s okay you did nothing wrong it’s him who should apologize and worst of all she did this to poor lucas” i said with a disappointed look.

"Yeah that's messed up" Jess said with a scowl, I could tell he was already getting angry and I don't need that right now.

"Calm down Jess, it's okay I'm going to take care of it" I say reassuringly

I walk away to head into the school trying not to cry, how could I be so stupid, I never should have said he could go to that party. I head to the cafeteria not to eat, but to sit and think alone but I'm soon interrupted by Lucas's presence.
