Just you and I

chapter 2:The fight

I pull into school in Lucas's red car. Usually, Tucker gives me a ride but he didn't show up so I asked Lucas for a lift.

“So, are you ready to hang out all weekend?” he asks while opening the front door of the school so we both may enter the building

“Yeah as ready as I'll ever be,” I say sitting down at the lunch table

I feel a pair of hands on my waist and someone sitting behind me and by the face, Lucas is making me already know who it is.

“Hi baby,” I say giving him a quick kiss on the mouth

“ What are you all talking about?” tucker says while checking his phone

“What we're gonna do this weekend,” lucas says smugly

“Oh, cool sorry to interrupt,” tucker said looking at me

“You didn't interrupt anything, okay you're fine,” I say reassuringly

I hug tucker but frown when I see lucas looking at me looking pissed off

“What's wrong, lu?” I ask grabbing his hand

“Nothing you need to worry about '' he gets up “I’ll see you at lunch” he waves and disappears into the crowd of kids.

Tucker kisses me goodbye because he's gotta catch a bus to the college.

I get my lunch and sit at the table at the end of the lunchroom. Our table, it’s where Monica, Tucker, Abby, Lucas and Arwen, and I sit.

Arwen, Abby, and Lucas are already there waiting for me.

“Hey guys, “I say setting down my tray

“Hey,” Abby says in between breaths she and lucas make out a lot

I lost my appetite so I push the tray to my friend Jesse who is always hungry

Tucker shows up and sits next to me putting his arms around me.

“Hey baby, how was your day?” I ask while I kiss him on the cheek

Lucas and Abby pull away finally and start scarfing down their food.

“Jeez, you guys act like you haven't eaten in forever,” I say laughing

“Feels like it,” lucas says eating a spoon full of corn

“It’s better now that I am with you,” tucker says giving me a tight squeeze
“aww, that’s sweet,” I say hugging back

Lucas is staring at me again only this time he has an accomplice, Abby is staring too but not at me, tucker.

“Why are you staring at tucker?” lucas asks Abby

“I wasn’t” Abby defended

“I fucking saw you, why were you staring at another dude?” lucas asked more aggressively

“I wasn’t staring at him, now leave me alone,” Abby said sounding pissed
Lucas left and Abby went after him in different directions. I’m usually used to their fighting, but this was not normal.

I kissed Tucker on the cheek and ran after lucas. I could hear Tucker calling after me but I ignored him. I had to find Lucas and make sure he's okay. I finally found him at the end of the stairwell on the north side of the cafeteria.

“Hey, you okay?” I say sitting next to him

“No,” he says in a sad tone

“Can I do anything?” I ask

“Hold me…...please...” he says crying, I take him in my arms and rub his back
He pulls away, “thanks, I needed that,” he says giving me a smile

“Anything to see you smile,” I say patting his back

Abby comes running over hugging lucas apologizing over and over until he finally says he forgives her, they hug, kiss, and makeup. It makes me have a sour taste in my mouth to see this, but he's smiling and that's all I care about.
