chapter 20: the results

I follow her directions and five minutes later the doctor comes back with my mom.

"Lily, it seems that you are not sick, in fact you are 3 months pregnant" the doctor says

My eyes widen and my mom is in shock.

"Pregnant?! Lily, how did this happen?" My mom asks

I'll leave you two alone to discuss this over and I'll come back with some pregnancy clinics I think you should try" the doctor says leaving

"Mom I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen" I begin to cry

" it's okay sweetie, I'm not mad" my mom says while rubbing my back

"You're not?" I ask

"No, because I was a 18 when I had you" my mom says

"I know but you wanted better for me and now I'm pregnant and just when things got way better it's scary and exciting at the same time." I say frantically

"Calm down Lily sweetie, I will discuss this with your father and if you don't mind me asking, who's the father?" My mom asks

"Lucas" I say with a smile

"Well, he's a sweet boy and I know that you both would be great parents" my mom says hugging me

"Thanks mom" I say while crying in her arms.

Now here comes the hard part.
