Somewhere deep in a city of light and opportunity; Two shadowy figures met in the gloom of a warehouse that served as the factory where nightmares are made real.

The first figure is a demon of legend, a remnant from an era long since past. Once a god of power and chaos, now reduced to a boogeyman that plagues humanity from the shadows. Even with his body broken and power diminished, the demon has an imposing presence, his scarred eyeless visage seeming to see all whilst being unable to look upon anything. He sits in a throne of machinery and life support equipment, his very existence now bound to the seat of power that cost him everything.

Across from the throned demon stands a wraith, a ghost spawned from a past that left his body scarred and broken. Once the essence of a young hero's spirit, his heart and soul have been blackened and damaged, transforming him into a malevolent specter that now haunts the very same society that killed him. He stands before the demon, fearless and indifferent, yet radiating an aura of wariness that comes with being summoned by the symbol of evil.

Both of these figures are stuck in the past for their own respective reasons, trapped in a limbo of fate's design that is structurally reinforced by their own actions. However, both see their pasts not as a prison, but as a weapon to wield in the war for their freedom. Both of these figures dream of changing the world to suit their own design and they are determined to see through no matter the cost. They will force destiny to bow to their whims, reduce this world to ashes and out of the rubble they will build a future crafted in their own image.

The demon gestures towards the wraith with a pleased ever present grin on his face. He speaks in a voice deep and smooth as velvet, "I want to give you something very special. Something that will ensure you achieve your goal no matter what."

"Oh yeah? And what would that be?" The wraith asked suspiciously, his scars tugging into a look of skepticism. He didn't particularly want anything from this creep, especially after seeing what his other kind of "gifts" did to a person. However, he couldn't deny a tinge of curiosity that kept him rooted to the place when he knew it would be wiser to flee.

The demon grinned wider, knowing he had the stranger right where he wanted him, "It's a Quirk. A Quirk that will grant you the ability to ensure that you and your power live on even after your body inevitably fails you."

The wraith felt his interest pique, but he refused to let it show."You underestimate my tenacity." The wraith said gruffly, feeling a bit insulted by the implication of his potential inability to succeed. He would never allow himself to die before completing his mission. And even if he did somehow die before his goal was achieved, that would be far from the end; He would pull his charred rotting bones out of his grave and let his corpse run on the power of spite instead of a soul if that meant getting what he wants. The wraith refused to meet his end until he brought down his creator with him. He would not rest until Endeavor, the flame hero, was extinguished from this plane of reality.

The demon merely chuckled, having expected this reaction from the relentless wraith. He would be lying if he said he didn't think it was impressive in some regard. "Oh I am well aware of your tenacity. In fact, I believe that you are the most relentless of them all. That is specifically why I believe it is you that should have this power." The demon leaned in, lowering his voice to a smooth and tempting tone, "I have been observing your place in the league under Tomura's command for quite some time. While your leadership skills and teamwork leave much to be desired, your unwavering drive and dedication are unmatched by even my chosen heir. You are the only one with the resolve necessary to wield a power such as this. You are the only one relentless enough that you would be willing to sacrifice your body so your goal lives on. You are the only one willing to give anything to see your dream come into fruition."
