22. Shadows Of Fear

{It has only been a day since the kidnapping, but already the public's trust within U.A High School has wavered. Though there were no casualties, dozens of students were injured and it took seven rescue teams to evacuate the training facility and put out the fire. Something had shifted permanently and it seemed it was for the worse.}

Yagi Toshinori was beside himself with grief as he watched the media reports cover the case of the two missing U.A students. He knew that regardless of his presence, the outcome would've likely been the same, but he could not help the guilt that arose at the thought you and young Bakugo could've been saved.

Midoriya had been unconscious when he visited the hospital, which he was secretly grateful for. The symbol of peace didn't think himself strong enough to be able to look Midoriya in the eyes after both his friends had been taken into the clutches of evil. No doubt the boy was blaming himself as much as Yagi did, which just made the #1 hero feel even worse.

When he had first rescued you all those months ago, Yagi had the certainty that as All-Might, he would be able to locate you within the city thanks to Midoriya's quick response. If Midoriya hadn't known you so well, he might've disregarded the fact you didn't text him when you were home and never noticed anything was wrong. However, he knew immediately you were in trouble and All-Might had been able to quickly rescue and reunite you with his young prodigy.

This time he did not have the luxury of any insight to aid in a rescue. He didn't know if you and Bakugo were alive or dead or......

To make things worse, the faculty was certain that there would of had to been a traitor within U.A which allowed the villains information as to the location is the camp. The Summers Training camps location in Nagano had been a top secret known only by the teachers and the Wild Wild Pussycats the possibility of a snitch within the school was making everyone even more tense.

It was chaos and All-Might could feel the thread of hero society tense and get ready to snap.

'A phone call is here! A phone call is here!"

The sound of his ringtone knocked himself out of his miserable thoughts. He picked up his phone to see Officer Tsukauchi calling.

"Hello?" He asked, trying to to sound too hopeful.

"Yagi! I have good news!" Tsukauchi said eagerly. "We have a lead to determine the whereabouts of the league of villains!"

"Really!?" Yagi said, relief washing through him.

"Yep! During the attack, Aizawa-San was able to identify one of the villains as the serial arsonist who's been killing throughout the area. And get this, the description he gave of the villain matches perfectly with that from a desperate case! Down on Kaminari ward Yokohama, one of my associates was given a report of man with a patchwork face who was seen going into a supposedly vacant building. Upon further investigation, a hidden bar was found located within the floor level. We believe this is where the League is hiding. As soon as we get more evidence, we are going to launch our attack. This is top secret for now and I know you will keep it quiet. I'm going to be assembling some of the best heroes to assist in my plan. I trust I can count on you."

"Of course...." All-Might muttered. "This is excellent news, thank you Tsukauchi, you have given me hope!" He flexed his muscles, body shifting into that of his muscular hero form as he was filled with resolve. "And one we find the students, I shall let them all know, that I am here!"

"You should really eat something," Shoto muttered. Offering him a bowl of rice. They had been together in his hospital room and trying to keep spirits up. However neither of them were able to feign liveliness.
