WEST'S POV
I walk up to Stephanie's house and ring the doorbell. I smooth down my tux that I bought just for tonight. I really like Stephanie so I want my clothes to say it too. Suddenly the door opens and she's standing there. She looks so beautiful and I wish I could kiss her. We smile at each other and it seems like the moment lasts only a short amount of time when I remember the flowers I'm holding.
"These are for you!" I say like I've just snapped out of a daze. "I didn't know what you liked so I just bought roses." I half mumble the last part.
"They're beautiful!" She says taking them gently. She turns around and sets them down inside before closing the door behind her. "You're a good guesser! Roses are my favourite." She says blushing and taking a step towards me.
"Well should we head out?" I ask her and she replies with a short nod.
We hop in my car and I start the engine.
"You look beautiful by the way!" I compliment Stephanie.
"Thanks! Where are we going?" She says looking out the window and blushing.
"Um this restaurant downtown" I start "I'm not completely sure of what the name is though. Sorry."
"Oh no! No worries." She reassures. "I was just curious."
STEPHANIE'S POV
We pull up to a large restaurant and I let out a sigh of relief when I realize it's not 'Grecchi's'. If he took me to 'Grecchi's' we would get special treatment because I'm a Grecchi and we might only end up talking about our parents. West opens the door and holds it for me. Why does he have to be such a gentleman? I blush and step inside.
The restaurant is beautiful. You walk in to see a marble arch above you and a couple couches for sitting. The floors are marble and the ceiling has little intricate designs all over it.
"Hello! How can I help you today?" A lady in a uniform asks us.
West walks up to her and says "I have a reservation for two." He says.
The lady taps her screen a few times and looks at it. "For West?"
He just nods and she grabs us some menus and leads us to our table.
When we get to the table West holds out one of the chairs for me. I smile and sit down and he walks over to the chair across from me. There's a candle at our table and the flickering light is like a paintbrush painting the table with light. The lady sets down our menus and leaves.
We just look at each other. Its not awkward, its nice. West finally breaks the silence between us.
"I don't think I have your number." He says as he pulls out his phone and opens up the contacts app. I reach across the table and grab the phone putting in my number.
"There!" I say. "Um so what are your hobbies?" I ask him.
"Well," he starts "I play football and like sketching. I'm also a self taught dancer." He says. "What about you?"
I kind of stare at him for a second. "You dance?" I ask him. He nods in response and I find that hard to believe. "I did not think of you as a dancer!" I say. "What type?" I ask getting more intrigued.
"Hip hop." West says. "But I want to learn different styles too." He clarifies. "Tell me about you!" He says again.
I chuckle. "Well I like painting, singing, and a little bit of acting. And it's funny, because I'm a bit into dance myself! I'm mainly jazz but I'm also into contemporary." I say.
•••••••••••••
After the meal West and I head back to my house. We're a couple blocks away but I wish this night wouldn't end. We finally arrive and West parks in my driveway.
"Do you want me to walk you in?" He questions.
"No thank you. Thanks for tonight, I had a great time." I reply. I don't want him walking me in because he's been so sweet already and I don't even know what to make of this whole situation.
"Me too." West says. "So I guess I'll see you tomorrow Stephanie?" He asks me, making me smile.
"Just call me Steph" I answer before stepping out of his car and running inside.
