TWENTY TWO

   

     It's late at night, everyone's sleeping and having a good dream, while i am here, still on call, having a serious meeting with my team. It's already midnight and my girlfriend is comfortably and cutely snoring at the other side of our bed.

I badly wanna lay beside her, and hug her tightly but i couldn't.

"Okay, i understand the situation. Now, let's meet up at my office at once, and bring engineer Claude with you guys. Keep him protected." mahina kong sabi sa kanila at agad nang nagbihis para makaalis.

I stared once again at her and decided to write something on her sticky notes.

Goodmorning beautiful, rise and shine as you always do. I'm sorry, i can't send you to school, I've got something to handle back on the company. I love you.

After that, i went to the company and walk straight to my office. We have something serious going on but i am that nervous because i know we're not wrong.

A client suddenly reported an engineer under my team for deliberately causing him damage when he once visited our construction site. The client want my engineer and other construction workers to pay and face the serious consequences of what happened.

Bullshit.

"Are we completed?" bungad ko agad pagkapasok na pagkapasok ko ng opisina. Nakatayo sila sa harap ng table ko at seryosong nag uusap usap.

"Yes sir," my sectary answered.

I gathered them on the oval table inside my office and immediately order them to tell me what happened in details. Lahat sila ay mukhang pagod at puyat pero active pa rin sila sa mga oras na ito at focused. Lalo akong nabigyan ng kompyansa na nasa tama kami pagkatapos nilang ilahad ang buong pangyayari.

Something is wrong.

"Alright." i said after i sinked the informations in.

"Engineer Bautista, gather all the engineers and construction workers present on that day, including the client's driver if you may. Keep them protected because they are our witnesses." i started giving order.

"Noted, sir."

"Engineer Lopez, investigate the client's background information for me. Strive beyond the screen and don't slip little informations."

"Engineer Zaldo, contact our company's lawyer and tell them our situation. If sir Kevin ask something, just tell him that i can handle this."

"The rest, do your best to retrieve anything that we can use as evidences, including the time they went in and out the construction site." i ordered.

"Understand?" tanong ko at tinignan ang bawat isa sa kanila.

"Understood, sir!" sabay sabay nilang sagot.

"Saang ospital niyo siya dinala?" i asked my secretary.

"Sa St. Thomas Hospital, sir." she answered, referring to a private hospital with tight security.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Bakit doon?"

"The client requested for it, sir Ken."

Now it made it more weird. Mukhang kailangan kong mag imbestiga nang mag isa.

"S-sir Ken.."

Lumingon ako sa kaliwa ko at nakita ang engineer na idinidiin ng complainant/client namin.
