I got up pretty early this morning. Made myself a cup of chamomile tea, and tried to do some yoga to calm my nerves. Which only resulted in making me even more stressed. I was trying not to think about him. About his words. About his stare. Everything revolving around Harry Styles needed to be shut out entirely.
I didn't work so hard only to think about some stupid boy and what he did to my hormones. My body couldn't distract me. I was the one in control.
"Did you go to their concert?" I heard one of the two girls I'd never met before, stood on the rooftop during our break.
"Of course I did!" her friend answered, "I had to set my alarm to snatch one of the tickets."
"It's crazy how fast they sell out."
"It's Dubious Devils, what do you expect?"
'I can't believe that even the lawyers here are fans of the Devils.' I thought how absurd it was that I couldn't even have a coffee break without him having something remotely to do with it.
"I don't get it." I break away from my thoughts when a familiar voice speaks from beside me. "What do women see in guys like them?" Chris continued.
"A six-pack and a very symmetrical face," I answer shortly.
Combined with lots of primal urges.
"Do you fall for guys like that?" Chris asks, now turning to look at me with a questionable expression.
"Of course not."
"My girlfriend left me for a guy twice my size." He informs me, looking back at the two older women. "I think I should reconsider my choices. Why become a lawyer when in the end the girl still chooses the primate who happens to have a six-pack."
"Not every girl thinks that way."
"Nah I think you're wrong. I don't like the female gender." he jokes as I laugh back.
"And yet you're still standing here with me."
"So please don't screw this up for us."

It was around nine o'clock at night when I finally finished work.
"Aurora." I turn in the direction of the voice as I exit the firm building. "We're going to a karaoke bar, wanna join us?"
"No thanks, I'm busy." I declined, I still needed to go over some papers for my exams and social gatherings weren't my thing either.
"Oh, okay, goodnight then."
I open my mouth to reply, only to close it shut when the words from my argument with Jackson echo through my ears once again.
"You're never in the mood Aurora. When was the last time we did it huh? You're just so.. so boring!"
Boring.
"Hey, wait up!"
