Harry hadn't come back, and it was starting to worry me. I wasn't sure why, it's not like I knew him well enough to know if it was normal for him to just randomly disappear without saying a word.

Which leads me to now, sitting at my desk in my black skirt, blouse and pumps, buried in files of information about the case I was assigned. I thought I could handle it but my knowledge was reaching its limit and I wasn't sure what to do.

"Aurora you got the reports ready?" Natasha asks, walking into the room with a stride and her head held high.

"Reports?" I asked confused. I had been so swamped and inside my head these past few days that I had forgotten to write them.

"Yeah, the reports."

"I'll make sure to hand them over to you as soon as I'm done," I promised, turning back towards my computer when she left the room with a single nod.

A few hours had passed when I finally finished writing up the report I so stupidly forgot to do. All I wanted to do now was go back home and sleep but of course, I was stopped when I heard a voice call after me.

"Hey." It was the guy from the karaoke, "Look, I wanted to apologize to you for how I acted the other night. I was very drunk."

"So I noticed."

"Will you forgive me then?"

I hesitated before answering, remembering how uncomfortable he made me, touching me after I specifically told him not to, and taking a huff when I didn't give into his 'antic' ways. "What you did crossed the line."

"Please, Aurora. I mean my apology, it won't ever happen again." I pondered for a moment, studying his words and scanning his face intently before giving him an answer. He did look sincere when asking for my forgiveness.

"Okay. I'll accept your apology." I nod.

"So..." he suddenly says, standing taller and moving closer. "Are you free tonight? I know a perfect place."

I refrained from rolling my eyes at him. Did he seriously expect me to go on a date with him after he very inappropriately touched me the other night?

"I don't have time tonight sorry.."

"Then how about tomorrow?"

"I don't think tomorrow is going to work either, sorry."

"Why not?" he scoffs, folding his arms over his chest while waiting for a reply.

"Because..." I trailed trying to think of an excuse off the top of my head. I could tell he was growing impatient with me by the way his eyes narrowed and his foot repeatedly tapping the concrete beneath his feet.

"Cause she's with me." a figure emerged from the shadows of the alley beside the building.

"Is that your boyfriend?"

"You got it right." Now standing beside me with their arm hanging over my shoulders casually was Liam. The guy—I couldn't remember their name—looked taken back at Liam's answer. It wasn't long before he staggered away.

"What are you doing here?" his arm dropped from my shoulder when I moved to face him, curiosity taking over my features.

He shrugs, "I just had to buy a few things around this area." his eyes widened suddenly, shock taking over as if he just realized where he was. I could see his eyes scan over the building which stood in front of us. "You work here?"

I nod, but just as I was about to say my goodbyes I felt a droplet of rain fall onto my lashes and hair. Within seconds the heavy shower soaked the pair of us.
