And now, as I stand in the all exclusive hotel, staring at the woman I was supposed to meet, I realise just how terrible this plan had been. Furthermore when I notice a strange and mysterious person dressed in nothing but black, talking to her.
A COUPLE HOURS AGO..
It has been two days since Nadia banned me from leaving the apartment. And annoyingly so.
Two days is all it took for the same four walls and Nadia's nagging voice to drive me insane.
And here I thought that would be Harry's doing.
I changed out of my pyjamas and into a pair of loose black joggers, my simple grey off the shoulder jumper, with my cozy and slightly worn Ugg's. It was my day off and I would not be wasting it cooped up in this apartment anymore.
"And where do you think you're going?"
I sighed, tired of the same question.
"I'm going to the store." I tell Nadia, folding my arms over my chest. "There's no shopping and—"
"No." She cuts me off. "You're not allowed to be seen in public, Aurora."
"Not even for groceries?" I scoff.
Nadia simply shrugs, not an ounce of empathy on her cold face. "Order something. Order someone to go get your groceries."
I fold my arms over my chest with a huff. Was she being serious? With my current predicament, i.e, everything, it was clear to see I did not have money to just splurge carelessly.
"Nadia, I don't have the money to just order food or to suddenly have a lap dog-"
My words are swallowed when Harry steps into the room with his tall and intimidating posture.
I couldn't help but run my eyes over his body, from head to toe. A pair of black slacks hug his large thighs tightly. The top two button of his white dress shirt were left undone while the material caressed his torso and arms in all the right places. Silver chains hung from his neck, resting on his bare chest. His hair was unruly, as usual.
"Harry, tell Nadia to let me go out." I say like a stubborn child trying to get their daddy on their side for a jar of lollies.
"Nadia, let her go." Harry says, a small smirk pointed on the corners of his lips while his tone was anything but enthusiastic.
"A little more enthusiasm, please."
Nadia soon left the two of us as she answered a phone call. Instead of siding with me or even staying put, Harry wordlessly walked straight past me and towards the door.
"Excuse me, where do you think you're going?"
"Outside."
"We're supposed to stay inside, Harry."
"No. You're supposed to stay inside. Not me."
I scoffed, once again crossing my arms over my chest to enhance my annoyance.
Was he being for real?
