My brain most definitely underestimated the close proximity between Harry and me. Not only was I able to feel his radiating body heat but one wrong movement from me and he and I would accidentally touch.
All I wanted to achieve out of this awkward situation was a better night's rest. But instead of sleeping, I was silently praying he couldn't hear the loud pounding of my heart or see how nervous I had become.
I needed to find a way to distract myself.
"Harry?" I called out into the darkness of his room, "Thanks for letting me stay." I continued when he let out a small "Hmm."
"Well, unlike you I'm actually a kind person Snowflake," he said, and instantly I felt almost insulted by his words until I was reminded of the time he snuck into my bed.
"Let's do it after all." my body stilled at the quiet rasp that whispered into my ear. I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not until I peeked open an eye and was instantly met with a certain pair of green eyes.
"Styles? Get out of my bed."
"Look Winters, I think we'd both benefit from this. Trust me, I'm good at what I do," he promised. I could see his eyes scan my face, slowly making their way down to my almost naked chest. A light silk material only covering below my collarbone. I cleared my throat and pulled the blanket closer, earning a smirk from Harry. Like he knew his antics were working.
"You saw me perform right?" he asks, "If I do things, I do 'em well."
"I'll seriously hurt you," I warned him which only seemed to make him more deviant.
"That's the spirit we need in bed, shortstu-" I cut him off with a push to the chest, turning over once I heard him land on the floor with a thump, I lift the duvet over my head and drift back off to sleep.
"Ow shit."
"Hey! You had other intentions than me." holding back a smile I bite my lower lip at the memory.
He rolled himself over, now laying face to face with one another. "Fact is, you threw me out." he shrugged. "Hence why I'm the nice person here." he rolled over once again in triumph at my lack of a response.
"Just to clarify, Aurora, I won't do anything with you tonight." I wasn't expecting him to, nor did I want him to misunderstand this situation. "I'm not the least bit interested in you." That was what I really wanted to say. Instead, I turned over and pulled the duvet up to rest under my chin while my tired eyes closed, finding myself slowly drifting off into the much-needed sleep.
"Unless you really really want me to." I could practically hear the smirk on Harry's face as he spoke quietly into the silence, "I'll take the silence as a yes but you're too overwhelmed by my generous offer."
"Please god, give me the strength to not choke him to death."
"Choking?" I heard Harry hum. "Wouldn't have thought choking was your preferred method of killing-- Kinky."
I lifted myself with a scoff, ready to jump out of his bed and ponder back into my own. Only to be stopped by the large hand that came to pull me right back down. "Uh uh, no backing out now, Snowflake." his hand didn't move as he faced me, "You chose this."
"And now I have deep regrets."
"I already told you I won't do anything." We stare at each other, the tension growing between us, and I swallow hard, reading to say something when he suddenly leans in the hover over my body, leaving no space between us and without a doubt touching me and pressing his body very obviously against mine.
