'Sunday Morning' café. A rustic café I had found when wandering around the rare small parts of New York.

It was a small building with a large interior. The counters were a sage green and the floors were a rustic slate pattern. The tables that were placed in various places were oak and the chairs were mixed and matched.

When you walked through the door a light ring from the bell would announce your presence and the sweet smell of baked goods and freshly poured coffee would welcome you.

I took a seat near the window. I wasn't sure if it was the location itself or the time in the afternoon but the streets weren't as busy as they usually were. Since living here it was nearly impossible to walk down the street some days without almost being trampled on.

The sky was clear, giving you a clear view of the sun that was gleaming down. I thanked the waitress when she brought me the coffee that I so desperately needed.

"Hi you." I pulled my gaze away from the window to see the person I had been waiting for. "I was a little surprised to hear from you," Liam spoke gingerly, pulling a chair beside me.

After the whole incident that happened the other week, I couldn't shake the guilt that I felt building up inside me. So, when I woke up this morning I decided to message Liam and ask to buy him a cup of coffee to apologise. I know asking someone for a cup of coffee isn't exactly the best way to show your apologies I figured it was a start.

"I wanted to apologise," I explained, taking a sip of my coffee. Feeling the warm liquid glide down the throat with a slight hazel aftertaste.

He shook his head, "What for? You didn't do anything Aurora."

I sighed, placing down the overly large mug before meeting his gaze. "I still feel bad about what happened that time."

"Like I said, you didn't do anything."

"Still, I should have defended you more. Harry shouldn't have threatened you like that."

"Well thanks.." he paused, letting us sit in a bliss of silence, like he was debating what to say next. "Can you maybe explain what this was all about? I mean, that was Harry Styles, right?"

I nod my head, "It was." I took a deep breath, preparing myself before having to explain to him the best I could about this whole situation. "He and I we.. we live together." he gave me an acquisitive look.

"They accidentally double-booked the apartment for both of us. I had nowhere else to go. So, we became roommates." I continued to explain.

"Summer don't be offended by this but.. what made you think you could afford a place like that?"

"I didn't know I had rented this place. The IT team made a mistake with the online ad." I explained more, "I never intended to rent a penthouse suite."

The sound of his tongue clicking against the roof of his mouth was followed by a nod. "Oh.. So, he's not your... boyfriend or anything?"

"Harry? No, he's not." I shrugged, "We're just roommates."

I decided to change the subject and thankfully Liam went along with it. No longer staying on the topic of Harry, I ordered and bought Liam a drink of tea and a pastry while ordering myself a refill. We sat and drank our hot beverages, waiting for Liam to finish with his pastry he told me about the party he was hosting.

I was slightly thrown off when he invited me. I wasn't sure if going to his house would be a good idea. Nonetheless, I told him I would think about it. I mean, it was the least I could do.

After saying our goodbyes and parting ways, I walked back to the apartment. It was a warm day so I didn't see the point in being cooped up in my car. when I arrived back and seeing as I was alone, I decided to call Natasha and pathetically beg for her to join me at the party.
