The Apple

Glossy red appearance, so tempting to our eyes

It cries out to us to give it a try, no need to fear

As you turn away, you know the tears begin to fall as it cries

And you can't turn the other cheek, the little voice whispers in your ear

You return to the little red apple, deciding it's worth the stay

So sweet and kind, it makes you complete and happy

But don't you know that the inside of most apples are gray?

And what once made you feel whole, will soon leave you crappy

Avoid these apples for while they show no sign of fight

They certainly are not worth the bite
