Alone

People say one is the loneliest number

Have they ever lost themselves, making it zero?

Being alone is torture, I just want to fall into a deep slumber

Where I don't need anyone, I'm my own hero

Alone I wonder my endless mind

Searching for that memory of someone before me

Years I've looked it's still elusive, so hard find

But I search in the dark so you can't see

My heart grows cold, no one wants to hold it

My hands reach out, finding the same emptiness

Turning away doesn't help, I can't forget

It torments me, my biggest weakness

I can't find the light, it hasn't been shown

So I fall into oblivion, the darkness, alone
