Flawed

The world changes everyday, for better or worse

You may not see it without a special tool

It found me, appearing as a gift, not a curse

Who knew I could be such a fool?

My ignorance fled, knowledge taking its place

I saw the world in a different light

And I felt a wave of emotion beat my face

War, violence, death, blood, endless fights

I could see everything, all of mankind's flaws

No one raced to fix their flaws, no one seeking a solution

They saw their ways only, deaf to a starving child's caw

Some saw their flawed ways, forming a revolution

Through the night, the fighting persists

I couldn't flee, the images engraved in my head

Soon it overcame me, and I couldn't resist

Infected with flaws, I was misled

Look past what's up front, it's just a facade

When you look beneath, mankind is flawed
