Klaus woke up slowly to see Elijah was unconscious across from him. As he moved, he could feel the chains holding him burn with vervain and wolfsbane. It wasn't enough to kill him but it hurt like hell. His state was also greatly weakened, making him assume he was being dosed with the same ingredients. The door opened and his captive walked in.

"What did you do to him," Klaus growled, struggling against the chains.

He grimaced as liquid wolfsbane was thrown in his face.

"He was hit by a werewolf bullet," his captive grinned, "Lethal without the cure of your blood, if I'm not mistaken."

Elijah stirred in his seat.

"Oh, look at that," his captive said, "He's having another hallucination."

Klaus watched as Elijah began crying out for it to stop. When his name was heard, he knew the hallucination was about him. Then he went limp again. It made him wonder how long have they been sitting here.

"I will gut you alive and eat your heart for this," Klaus threatened.

"Threatening me? In that state," his captive taunted.

Klaus attempted to get out of the chains again. He watched his captive remove Elijah's daylight ring and then go to the curtain.

"No... Don't you dare," Klaus snapped, struggling harder.

"Who's gonna stop me," he grinned, grabbing the curtain.

"AXEL!"

Axel lifted his head, teleporting to Klaus. Just as the curtain was pulled back, he slid Elijah and Klaus to the shaded part of the room. The man bared his fangs at Axel. He attempted to lunge at him, causing Axel to grab his jaw. His eyes glowed red as the vampire burned from the inside out.

Then he went to Klaus, untying him. As Axel went to help Elijah, Klaus stopped him.

"He needs my blood," Klaus said, about to bite his wrist.

"You're too weak," Axel said, yanking his hand away from his mouth.

"He won't heal without it," Klaus snapped, "If you cared about me, you'd help me save him!"

Axel froze and went over to Klaus. He placed two fingers on his forehead, healing his weak state. Then he stepped back and allowed him to save Elijah. Then he helped untie Elijah since his chains were vervained too. Klaus turned to the dead vampire on the floor.

"There was a group of them," Klaus said, "They have bullets filled with werewolf venom."

"I'll handle it," Axel said.

"You need help..."

"Thanks but no thanks," Axel said, heading for the door.

He grabbed Axel's arm, making him turn.

"There are too many of them. They're fast," Klaus said.

"I can hold my own," Axel said, "Help your brother home."

"You being killed will lead them straight to us," Klaus spat.

"I won't get killed," Axel said.

"You're being naïve and childish," Klaus said, deciding to use the excuse of his life again, "It's gonna cost me my life!"

Axel froze, his eyes glowing red.

"You have no idea how far I'll go when it comes to saving you," Axel said, "But if you keep pushing me..."

Axel stepped in Klaus's face.

"I will make your life a living hell. And I do not have to kill you for that to happen," Axel said, "I'm trying to be nice. Don't test my kindness, Klaus."

Klaus tilted his chin at him but went quiet either way. Axel left the house forcing them to find their own way back.

Later that day, Klaus was staring at the painting when Axel walked in.

"Have you done as you're told..."

Axel tossed the bloody weapons and the werewolf bullets on the ground. He glared at Klaus, still upset with him.

"They're dead, your highness. Happy?"

Then he walked away without another word. He passed Elijah on the way, who tried to greet him. He turned his eyes to Klaus, who watched Axel leave the room.
