Klaus watched Hope as she drifted in and out of consciousness. He tried to keep her awake and only managed to make a bunch of muffled sounds.
Now he could only helplessly watch his daughter suffer. A part of him wondered why he cared so much. Another part wondered if she was gonna make it at all. Klaus has been trying to come up with solutions to this all day.
"Klaus, if I don't make it out, can you tell Axel thank you for me," Hope said weakly, "I appreciate him treating me like a daughter."
Klaus's eyes went bloodshot as Hope talked as if she was going to die. She was ready to give up.
"And I wanted to tell you that I'm so sorry for being an ass to you," Hope said, "I was worried that you'd abandon me. So I pushed you away before you could."
Klaus felt tears escape his eyes as he shook his head slowly. Pain made his head swim as he tried to reassure Hope in his movements.
"Also can you tell Starla that I love her," Hope said, "Finally tell my Uncles and Aunts that I'm happy I met them. Including Sam and Dean."
Hope started crying as well as she saw tears falling from Klaus's eyes.
"I'm so happy I chose to look for you," Hope said.
Klaus yanked against the chains, making him grimace.
"I know I'm supposed to be strong but I don't want to die," Hope sobbed, "I'm scared. I'm not ready yet, Dad."
Klaus felt his heart ache before it dawned on him. He thought back to what Jasmine said earlier.
"The only thing Axel will hear is his own panic rising."
Klaus glanced at Hope, who passed out again. He squeezed his eyes shut. For once in over 1,000 years, Klaus sent a prayer to God begging for his help.
Chuck was reading a book when he heard a prayer sent to him. Usually, most prayers sound like nothing but white noise, unless it's sincere and not selfish. This prayer though was as loud as a horn.
"God, It's Niklaus Mikaelson. I know I've done so much wrong. But my daughter, Hope, is in trouble. She's loved by so many, including Axel Morningstar. So I need your help. If you want, you can take my soul or spirit as a token of good faith. Just please, save her... I'm begging you."
He stood up and rushed to his white chair. He closed his eyes, searching for someone. When he opened them, they were glowing blue.
"Axel, this is your grandfather. I have a location on Klaus and Hope Mikaelson. Hope is badly hurt so save her first. One more thing, I'm giving you the green light. Do what you have to do."
"Are you sure the green light was a good idea," Michael asked, having heard his father walking, "Axel can go pretty far once he's in his head.
"I rather I give him the green light, than he be punished for doing it anyway," Chuck reasoned, "Besides, whoever did this took not only his lover but also his child. This time, his anger is justified."
Axel was brought back to reality as the illusion of Chuck disappeared. His eyes glowed red in rage as he went to the location he was given. On the way out, he grabbed his angel blade since he recognized the area immediately.
