Klaus stared at his hands as Elijah, Marcel, and Rebekah took a seat. His eyes lifted to meet Kol's.

"Kol..."

"If you're gonna argue again..."

"I'm not. Axel was right. I was... I was wrong for trying to dagger you," Klaus said, standing up, "Maybe you were right about me being the cancer of this family. If I hadn't been born then our family wouldn't be divided. Finn wouldn't hate us... Henrik would be alive."

Kol stared at him as he realized Klaus was trying to apologize. He was doing a horrible job at it, but he was trying nonetheless. And that was the first good thing, he had done for Kol in a long time.

"I'm... I'm trying to say... I want to say..."

Kol rolled his eyes and hugged Klaus. Soon he felt him return the hug.

"I am too," Kol said, letting go of him, "Let's never speak of that hug again. It felt weird and I'm used to you being an ass."

"Agreed," Klaus said, smirking.

"So you wanted to see this female... What's her name," Elijah asked.

"Davina. I wanted to ask her out or do something nice," Kol said, "We've been talking for a while now. She's really sweet, fierce, and beautiful."

"Why would that be so bad," Rebekah asked, "She sounds lovely."

"She's a witch," Kol said, "And she's not fond of vampires."

"Does she not know you're a vampire," Klaus asked.

"No, she doesn't," Kol said, resting his hands on his hips, "As far as she knows, I'm some guy who likes witchery stuff and drinking."

"You have to tell her the truth," Marcel said.

"She'll hate me..."

"She'll hate you more if you don't tell her," Elijah said, "If you truly love this woman she should know what you are."

Kol chewed on his bottom lip, nervously.

"Maybe I should ask Axel," Kol suggested, "He knows how to calm someone down, right? He can keep her calm. Where is Axel?"

Axel took a deep breath as he spotted a rabbit. He pulled out an arrow and placed it in the bowstring. Taking more deep breaths, he aimed the arrowhead at the rabbit.

In. Out. He braced himself before freezing as he saw Klaus. Axel rolled his eyes and lowered his arrow.

"Again? Really," Axel asked, putting the arrow away, "I should shoot him on purpose this time."

"I can hear you," Klaus said, making direct eye contact.

"Good," Axel said, throwing him a bitchface.

He hopped out of the tree, landing in a position that would've broken a human's knees. Then he walked over to Klaus.

"You feel okay," Axel asked, "I know I scared you. I didn't mean to. My anger got the better of me. Before I knew it I was... I'm sorry."

Klaus slowly grabbed Axel's hand, pulling him closer.

"Thank you for saving me from myself. And I shouldn't have stabbed you with that blade," Klaus said, his eyes searching Axel's for any sort of leftover resentment, "I wanted to make it up to you."

"How do you plan to do that," Axel asked, his eyes dropping to his lips briefly.

"Would you like to go to an art show with me? Tonight," Klaus asked, licking his lips.

Axel slowly smiled and dropped his head.

"Yeah, that sounds nice," Axel said, "Can it be tomorrow though?"

"Tomorrow works as well," Klaus said, a smile spreading on his face, "Um... Kol needed to talk to you. It's important."

"Did you two make up," Axel asked.

"Yes. Thanks to you," Klaus said, stepping a bit closer, "All thanks to you."

Axel didn't move back as Klaus was practically chest-to-chest with him. If he moved any closer, they would be kissing. Klaus eyes stared at Axel's lips as they started to lean in.

"Klaus! Did you find...? Oh, I can come back," Rebekah said, not hiding her smile.

"No, it's fine," Axel reassured, stepping back.

Klaus glared at Rebekah for ruining the moment.

"Are you sure," Rebekah asked.

"Yeah. We should really get home," Axel said, "I'll meet you there."

Rebekah followed Klaus home as he stayed silent until they were inside.

"You have horrible timing," Klaus grumbled bitterly.

"You two almost kissed and you got a date," Rebekah said.

"It's not a date," Klaus said.

"Keep telling yourself that," Rebekah teased, smirking.

Klaus rolled his eyes as Axel walked in. He nodded at him with a smile, making Axel smile back.

"Fuck me eyes," Rebekah whispered loudly.

"Shut up," Klaus hissed, glaring at her.

She laughed at his embarrassment and went to her room.
