Chapter 4

Zoe P.O.V

Austin was the guy in the picture and I saw him at the stop light. Ross and his family were in the exact same dream. I always get this tingling feeling all over my skin when I'm near him. Lastly I have someone in my head who won't tell me what's going on. I rather be in an argument with my brother than go through whatever this is.

"Zoe." I say shaking his hand as a shock of electricity shot through my arm.

"D-did you fe-feel that?" I said jumping away.

He shook his head yes almost like he was retraining himself. His green eyes started to turn a shade darker. I took a step closer to him involuntarily. He stood their still as stone. I was only a few feet away from him at this point and I could feel the heat radiating off his body. My heart beat was going extremely fast. It didn't feel very healthy. Was I having a heart attack? I placed my hand on his chest. I wasn't the only one with his heart beating just as fast.

His head turned I pulled it towards me. It took all of my strength to not kiss him right now. I had a feeling I knew why but didn't want to admit it. I mustered up some confidence so I could get at least one word out during this staring contest.

"Now, Austin tell me. Do you bite?" Was all I said before going on my toes and leaning in.

He was surprised and honestly I was too. I would never do this to Cora unless....Wait Cora. I have a girlfriend, he might be in a relationship, what in the hell am I doing. As realization came over me, my eyes opened wide as I pushed him away. He was hurt but I can't cheat I won't cheat. Now I wanted to make him feel better. What is wrong with me?

"I'm so sorry." I whispered as I ran out the library.

'Why did you do that you were doing great?' Alidia asked

Well maybe the fact that I have a girlfriend I'm serious with.

'Yeah but you felt something for Austin you will never feel for Cora.'

Shut up I love Cora.I LOVE CORA. I AM IN LOVE WITH MY GIRLFRIEND CORA.

'If you have to convince yourself is it really true.'

While in the argument with Alidia I ran into Ross. Instead of falling I felt muscular arms around my waist. He help me back onto my feet. He laughed at my clumsiness.

"Are you okay you look like you just saw a ghost?" He said.

"I'm fine. Where is Emily?" I said wanting to go.

"Oh she is talking with my friend Valeria." he said directing me to the kitchen.

"By the way Mr.Jones called to say he couldn't make it." he said handing me a water.

That's just perfect, I came here for nothing. As I sipped on the water Emily entered the room with slightly rugged hair and something pinurple ( pink purple hybrid) on her neck. "What is that on your neck?" I asked.

"We'll talk about on the way to your place." she said fixing her hair while looking a her reflection in the fridge.

"Nice meeting you Ross." I said walking to the door with Emily not to far behind.

"Bye Cream cheese." Emily waved exiting the door.

Before I could ask her why cream cheese, Emily pushed me into the car. She got in the car excitedly almost making the car shake. She closed her door and put the key in the ignition.

"How did it go with Austin?" Emily said.

"Wait how do you even know who he is?" I asked completely confused.

"Come on sweetie I thought you would be caught up by now." she said giving me a "for the love of god" look.

"Alidia I know ,you know what's going on so tell me." I said aloud not realizing it.

"Hey Alidia I'm doing my job you gotta do yours." Emily screaming in my ear.

"She almost has it figured out" I involuntarily said in a voice that definitely was not mine.

"Obviously not." Emily said a bit annoyed.

"It's kinda hard to figure out that your bestie since elementary school is a psychic." the voice said.

"Finally." Emily said as realization came over me.

I would never admit it but I somehow knew that, that day was my last day human, it was my last sane. It was the last I ever questioned the existence of anything.

Austin P.O.V.

"Well at least you know she won't reject you and Val got her mate in the process." Ross said handing me a bottle of beer.

We were outside by the pool just relaxing because we never have time to do so.

"She did?" I asked looking towards my sister.

"Yeah Zoe's friend, Emily I think it was. She's sure is a strange one." Ross stated looking distantly.

I could here Val growl at the statement and a chuckle escaped my lips. It was so weird and different to feel her lips on mine. It oddly tasted of sugar matching her smell of cinnamon . I could find myself addicted to that taste. "Now, Austin tell me. Do you bite?". That simple question made me feel she knew.She knew I wanted her,she knew I needed her, and she knew what I was.

"Hey Austin, my Emily said that you shouldn't worry Zoe will come around." Val said sipping her Shirley Temple.

"And how would she know." I asked.

"My mate is special." was all she said before finishing up her drink and exiting the room.

"She is right Austin, I don't know how she knows it but their is something about that Emily besides her interesting personality that tells me that she just knows." Ross said taking a sip of his beer.

We heard a sudden knock at the door.

"Come in." I said before Roselina, Ross's daughter came running in.

"Uncle Austin!" She screamed.

"Oh so your daddy is chopped liver." Ross cried holding his "pained" heart.

"No but I wanna hear 'bout your mate." Rose said as I picked her up and sat her on my lap.
