Chapter 5

Austin P.O.V.

"Well I don't know much about her." I said to a disappointed Rose.

"But I can tell you what she looks like." I said to cheer her up.

"Okay!" Rose shouted.

"She has big blackish brown eyes, and long eyelashes. Her straight black hair goes to her shoulders and she has the brightest smile." I started to get lost in my description and I really saw her in my mind.

"Ohhhh Uncle Austin lub Zoe." Rose said giggling.

"How about you go and give you dad a hug,because I think you made him a little sad." I said placing her on the floor so she could go to her dad.

She ran with her little stubby legs towards Ross before he picked her up and placed her on his lap. She stood up on his legs and hugged Ross's face.

"I'm sorry daddy."

"It's okay sweetie. Where is your brother?"

"Ummmm." she said holding her finger up to her mouth.

"I think he is with mama."

"Well let's go see your mom and brother. Austin made me remember I have to give you guys the mate talk."

"Are you sure about that Ross?" I said because of the fact that Rose and Lucas (Rose's twin brother.) are 2.

"Not the birds and the bees Austin just mates."

Zoe P.O.V.

When I got back home Kash didn't say a word to me. I got all the ingredients for Shrimp and Scallop Alfredo and started to cook Kash's favorite meal.

"You might not care but dinner is ready!" I yelled towards the stairs.

I could hear stomping approaching the kitchen. When he walked into the kitchen that frown on his face disappeared and his eyes became filled with hunger.I fixed my plate and headed to the dinning room. After a few minutes I heard him come in.

"Grandma called." he said

"She said they would be here in a few days and she yelled at me for not knowing where you were." he continued anger radiating off of him.

"Well maybe if you weren't acting so petty you would talk to me and know I was in tutoring for Mr.Jones." I said getting a little pissed off.

"And you know what if it wasn't for me you would be eating cereal for dinner but I decided to look over the fact that you are being petty over me giving you the truth to give you a real dinner." I said before grabbing my plate and heading upstairs.

No matter how angry I got I would never forget my food. I decided to just sit in bed and talk to Alidia. I also was eating but that's beside the point.

Why do I miss him? It's like this weird part of me wants to both jump him and hug him at the same time.

'Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to?'

Because I don't want to admit it. I mean it's impossible,right?

'I get it but right now I think you should worry about Kash.'

What did I do though I just told him the reality?

'Think of it like this,you have a mom just a mom all you life and one day you want to go to this college but she doesn't support you like she has all you life. This one time she calls this idea stupid and tells you that you will never succeed in life because of this choice. Wouldn't you be mad?'

As if on queue Kash walked into my room and sat on my bed.

"I'm sorry" we both said in unison.

A nervous laugh escaped my lips. "You go first." Kash said."I talked it over with myself and I realized how harsh I was. I was treating you like son not a brother. It's just when you have to grow up as soon as you get into high school, you see things differently." I said playing with the hem of my blanket.

"I'm sorry too. I was super petty and I get where you're coming from."

"Good." I said as I hold my hand out.

"Good." he said giving me the bro hug.

A sudden familiar woodsy smell lingered in my nose. A striking pain was set through my jaw. As I remembered where that smell came from the first time I smelled it I ran to the door to hear a soft knock. I opened the door to see Austin.

"Hey I-"he started before I cut him off.

"Why are you here,how do you even know where I live? Last I checked the bond doesn't let you know where the other person is." I rambled.

"Well I talked to Emily- wait you know."

"Oh I'm gonna kill that little witch and of course I know."

"I thought she was a psychic and nice teeth."

"She is it's like an expression. Your like 20 how do you not know this." I said feeling my jaw.

"In my world you take a lot of things literally."

"I'm gonna need you to go." I said nervously

"Why ,do I make you nervous?"he said with a smirk.

His whole demeanor changed from simple and eased to tempting and kind of cocky. Those shit eating grins that were common in mafia books and fanfics had nothing in his. His cockiness was relaxed as he shouldn't be in this situation.

"You don't make me nervous." I said looking up at his green eyes as he walked closer to me.

"You sure about that Dragoste." He said seductively as he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me towards him.

The word came out as if it was his first language. Rolling off his tongue. I wondered how nice my name would sound when he said it. Such a simple short name without a single ounce of sexiness but with those pink lips forcing it out I bet it would never sound sexier.

"So you came all the way over her to get in my pants." I whisper not wanting to catch Kash's attention.

"No I came all the way over her because I know you want to get in mine." he whispered in my ear.

Damn he was sexy. The side of his lip was in between his teeth. He did it with a odd mix of nervousness and sexiness. He used his thumb and index finger to hold my chin up.

"Oh really."

What was I doing I'm making this situation worse.

"Really." he said leaning into my neck laying a soft kiss on it.

Something was different about Austin this time. He seemed more dominant, more possessive, more animalistic. My knowledge of Alidia and every werewolf book ever made me wonder if I was actually talking to Austin.

"You're not Austin are you?"

"Whatever do you mean Dragoste?" He said leaving my neck (to my displeasure) and looking into my eyes.

"You're his wolf." I said noticing his normally green eyes are now pitch black.

"Hey Zoe you good down there?" Kash yelled from upstairs.

"I'm fine just a neighbor asking for sugar!" I yelled back.

"Really a neighbor asking for sugar." Austin's wolf said.

"Well it's half true, you mister are asking for sugar." I said slipping out of his arms and pushing him away with one finger.

"Now no more visiting, I come to you. I don't care how horny your wolf gets." I said seeing his eyes turn to its natural green color.
