Chapter 7

I know this wasn't smart but to talk alone we went to his bedroom. I saw the regret in his eyes. I guess he is nothing like Convel.

"Hey I'm really sorry for my-his behavior." Austin said nervously.

"Do I make you nervous?" I said walking towards him repeating in the exact same accent.

"I thought that was my thing. You know making your knees buckle and make your body tingle." he said with a smirk.

Something about him is different this isn't Convel though. He is was still Austin but not. It's hard to explain.

"You're not normally like this aren't you." I said only a few feet from him.

"Like what?"

"You're not submissive or quiet, I bet you even liked what Convel said to me."

"Ah smart girl, and that means I don't take teasing especially in that dress of yours." he said pulling me in to his hard chest.

I felt myself wanting to press my lips against his plumb ones. To forget anyone existed and to stay in bed with him all my life. To always have his arms wrapped around me.

"Oh really."

"Really." He said as he turned me around now with my back on his chest.

His hands landed on my waist and started to travel down to my hips as he kissed behind my ear. I suddenly grew insecure through the pleasure. Why is he settling for me?

'He is not settling he is upgrading.' Alidia said.

I grabbed Austin's hands and pushed them away from my body. I stepped away from his fit body. He wasn't chiseled by the gods but there were nice creases that could be seen through his tight shirt. I could feel Alidia's anger as if it were my own. I can't bring him down. Austin is a Beta werewolf and I don't even know what I am. I bet you women throw themselves at him. I started to growl at the thought.

"Was I too forward?" He asked wrapping his arms around me with his chin on my head.

"No. It's just, why me? All these females must be throwing themselves at you.Correction all these WOMAN must be."

"Zoe it may be the mate bond or it may be just intuition but I know that you are more mature than any bimbo or gold digger that tries to get in my pants ." he said rocking me side to side.

"What's up with the rocking me like a baby?" I ask looking up to his green eyes more than just a little confused.

"Is it not comforting?" he asked now becoming the confused one.

"Kinda. For a muscular guy you sure feel like teddy bear." I said giggling.

"Why thank you, I tried very hard to get that teddy bear feeling." he said teasingly before kissing my head.

"Shit!" I said suddenly ruining the moment.

"What happened?" He said turning me around to look at him.

"I need to call Kash, he is probably worried sick." I said walking out ready to go on adventure for my purse.

"Oh and don't be jealous that is my brother." I said sticking my head out from the hallway hair

I talked to Kash and told him that Emily got sick and I drove her home. I also said that I was planning on spending the night there. That means I am staying with the pack today. When dinner came around , which Luna some other females willing to offer a hand and I cooked, I decided I wasn't all that hungry so I just stayed in Austin's room. Twenty minutes have passed since I told Austin I was just gonna stay in his room and I heard a knock.

"Come in!" I yelled .

"You good?" He asked sitting on the bed with a t-shirt and jeans.

"Yeah." I retorted pulling myself out of the blankets.

"You're wearing my shirt." He stated noticing I was wearing his blue and white striped button up.

"I had to sleep in something besides my actual dress." I said a yawn escaping my mouth.

I patted the spot next to me indicating I wanted him to sit there. He scooted from the edge of the bed to the spot right next to me pulling my arms around him. My hand was right on his heart feeling it's soft beats against his chest. Are breathing in sync and our two strings of fate twisted.

"Hold on." He said getting out of the bed.

"And where are you going-" I looked at the clock"-at 10:00 at night."

"Nowhere." He said taking his shirt and jeans off.

He got back in bed and wrapped his arm around my waist pulling closer to his bear chest .His warm skin radiating heat was comfortable. I could feel his breathing soften and slow down. Thinking he was sleep I turned over a bit to see his face. His blazing green eyes staring deep into mine.

"Thought you were sleep." I said.

"I almost was but then you turned around." Austin said in a raspy voice that sent chills down my spine.

"What are we doing? We only met a few days ago." I whispered as if it was the biggest secret ever.

"Well normally I would have already marked and taken you." He said trailing his thumb across my lip.

"Let me get that." I said as my phone rang.

"Who is calling you this late at night?" Austin asked a little suspicious slightly sighting up.

"Hello." I said.

"Hey Zoe, Kash told me you were spending the night at Emily place and I wanted to give you guys the homework. But there was an issue Emily's parents said that you guys were at a different friends house." Cora said.

"Cora I need to talk to you on Saturday." I said seriously.

"Why can't you talk to me on Friday?"

"I'm not going to school and neither is Emily,we have some stuff we need to take care of."

"Oh well I'm gonna need an explanation on Saturday."

"You got it."

"Bye, I love you."

"Bye, Cora."
