—Two days. –Ciara said
—Sorry? –I laughed as I sipped my coffee.
—That was the longest James and I went. Without leaving the room but for food and water.
I opened my eyes wide. —Two days is a long time. –I sipped my coffee once more and avoided eye contact.
—It's been a week, Casiopea! –She shouted at me. —You both will eventually need to get out of that room and get back to training.
I covered my face with my hand and peeked at her through my fingers to cover my shame. —I knowwwww.
—Sex is not going to keep you alive young lady.
It felt so funny that we looked almost the same age but she was clearly like a motherly figure to me.
—I know, I know, we know, we'll get out soon, I promise. –I said and kissed my finger like a stupid teen making a promise to her mom.
She was right, I really knew that but it was so hard to get out of that room. The world was just the two of us in there, we talked and laughed and well, had sex, and kissed, and we didn't speak about training or how dangerous I was. We really felt just two people in love, enjoying each other, being happy. I hadn't been this happy for so long that even if I was fooling myself, I wanted to stay in the lie. We even talked about staying there, forever, maybe no one would find us, maybe we could spend centuries on that bed, watching the sky and the ocean through that window. Taking long baths with our bodies pressed against each other and listening to each other's life stories. Would that be so bad? No, trust me, it wasn't bad, it was amazing.
But then reality kicked in, I had a family, parents who loved me, friends, my brother, my job. I had a life which might seem insignificant to many but it was huge for me, and I had to find a way to get back to it, without dying of course.
—Ciara said we need to get out of the room.
—Come to bed.
—Idris, get up. –I walked to him and grabbed his arm.
He pulled and threw me back on bed.
Wasn't I strong? You are thinking. Wasn't she superpowerful? You might be wondering. Wasn't she capable of controlling him with her thoughts? Yeah. So yes, I didn't want to go either.
One week later, James threatened to burn the house down if we didn't leave the room. —Read his thoughts, is he serious? –Idris asked
—Yes, we need to go.
