Something's wrong. People at work have been throwing me weird looks all day.
Work is so different without her. Very boring.
I miss her.
But I shouldn't.
The door knocks, "Mr. Levan, it's Seo-Yeon."
"Come in." I continue typing my answers to emails I let get too many.
"Uhm, are you okay?" She sits on the chair in front of my desk. I cock an eyebrow and look up at her.
"Pardon me?" I notice she's not wearing the maid uniform.
"Look, I know nobody told you and I feel bad so I will." She sighs and looks down.
"What's going on?" She's got me impatient.
"Look, I know we all should hate her for what she did but we never actually got the chance to talk to her. And as her ex-bestfriend I owe to tell her ex-boyfried that..." she looks up in my eyes with worry. I'm getting more nervous by the second.
Is she okay?
"Winslow may be in danger, Mr. Everett."
And that's what it takes to make my blood run cold and my heart beat fast. Oh my God, please let her be safe.
"How? Where is she?" I almost grab her from her collar but I know Cassius will kill me if I do, so I just stand up, punching the desk impatiently waiting for an answer.
"Your father knows more than I do, I think it's best if you talk to him." She stands up. I reach for the door handle, ready to rush to his office when she stops me.
"Evere- I mean, Mr. Levan, can I...come too?" She lowers her head. I know she's worried for her too. The two of them got along really well.
"Yes of course but hurry up."
She smiles and we both run to dad's office. I don't even bother knock. "Where is she?" I slam my hands on his desk.
"I don't care." He doesn't even bother looking up at me.
"I swear if you don't tell me where she is-"
"Why do you care?" He glares up at me.
"Can't you see, honey?" Mom's voice is heard and I turn around to see her sitting at Jasper's office. I didn't even notice she was here. "He still loves her." She walks to me.
"Bullshit. I don't care."
"Mr. Levan please we have to-" Seo-Yeon tries to say but he glares at her and cuts her off,
"What the hell is a maid doing here? You don't even work today. Leave."
"You're staying." I grab her hand to stop her from leaving and turn to dad, my jaw clenching from how hard I'm trying not to crush his skull. "Either you tell me where she is or I find myself."
"Find yourself. I mean it, I'm done with her Everett. Never bring her up again." He gets up and leaves.
"Honey-" Mom tries to stop him but he slams the door to her face. "Her betrayal really affected him. I didn't know she meant that much to him." Mom sighs and follows after him.
"Fuck you people, I'll do it myself." I get out of the room. Winslow might be in danger and people here are playing their twisted little games? Not how I work, father.
"Wait Mr Everett!" I hear Seo-Yeon's voice and I abruptly turn around,
"What do you know?" I basically scream at her. Her eyes widen and she takes a step back. Is she scared of me? How bad do I look right now? Am I that scary? Fuck this shit I need to know where Winslow is.
