Everett
Winslow is helping me walk to the gates, by holding on my shoulders and letting me lean on her a bit to walk. We enter the house, Cassius and Alex holding our luggage behind us. We walk to the big living room and I notice dad sitting with a woman. A blonde woman. What the hell? Dad sees us and smiles at the woman, both of them standing up and turning to us.
"Mom?" My eyes widen.
She smiles warmly and opens her arms. I abandon Winslow and run to mom but I forget I'm literally injured and almost fall in the process but Winslow runs to me and catches me on time. She worriedly looks at me and I give her a reassuring smile before leaning my hand aom her to walk to mom.
She cares about me.
Why does she not allow herself to be with me tho? It fucking drives me insane. I want her so bad, and I know she does too.
I walk to mom and take a good look at her. "You're blonde now." I blink and she chuckles, throwing her hands around me.
"Aww, my sweet baby." She squeezes me and I chuckle, "You're so big now." She checks me out and when she sees my leg she widens her eyes, "Oh my God what happened?"
"Uh let's talk about it over dinner." I shrug and turn to look at Winslow, to see her awkwardly standing there and looking around. I'm ready to tell her we should go shower, but mom interrupts and asks her,
"Who are you?"
"Winslow Ambrose, nice to meet you Miss." She smiles at mom. That smile of hers, it makes me melt.
"Oh well, didn't know Everett does girlfriends." She grins at us. Dad looks confused behind her and I shake my head,
"I don't."
"Its not like that. Were not dating." Winslow quickly says and mom frowns.
"Oh, sorry. I just thought- because I saw you leaning on her- never mind. Well then, what is such a beautiful lady doing here if shes not your girlfriend?" Mom asks me.
We have the same question mom.
"Im his assistant. And, thank you, I think you look beautiful too Miss Levan." Winslow kindly tells my mom and she turns to me with a questioning look,
"You have an assistant?"
"I arranged it for him while you were gone, sweetheart. He had a lot of work and definitely needed help." Dad explains to her and I scoff, I did not need any help.
"Anyways, Im going to shower. Weve had a long day. See you at dinner." I tell them and gesture to Winslow to help me a bit. She does and when we arrive to our rooms she turns me around to face her,
"Why didn't you tell your parents you almost got killed today?"
"I didn't want to worry them, I'll tell them at dinner."
"So you want to choke them."
"I'm not- Winnie just let me go shower." I open my door and she stops me,
"Can you even shower?" She asks me, crossing her hands.
"I'll find a way, don't worry about me." I grin at her, "If I couldnt, what would you do? Shower with me?"
Then I'll happily say I cant.
"I would do absolutely nothing." She lowers her voice and I get inside the room, ready to tell her bye when she holds the door and tells me,
"Make sure the water is not too hot, itll hurt. And if you need to change bandages again, tell me."
I lean on the doorframe, arms crossed and stare at her. Her lips are so full, yet so soft. When I was kissing her they felt so good, she tasted so good, the way her tongue- I clear my throat, "You are worried about me." It's not really a question.
