Everett
Oh my God that was the best sex ever. She's fucking amazing. I finally have her in my arms. I can't fucking believe this.
Mine mine mine.
My arms are spread out behind my head while staring at the ceiling. She's laying on my chest, caressing the words of my tattoo and it feels so comforting.
'but without the darkness,
we'd never see the stars'"What made you get this tattoo?" She asks, turning her head a bit to face me. I remove one hand from behind my head and gently caress her hair.
"Don't laugh at me."
"I don't judge, Everett."
"Yeah right." I chuckle and her head pops up, glaring at me. She's so adorable. I press her head on my chest again with my finger and continue caressing her hair, "I was afraid of the darkness when I was a kid."
She stays silent and waits for me to go on, "Actually, until three years ago." I wonder whether or not I should tell her but why not? "I used to get inside the minute it got dark. I don't remember much, but when I was little I had a panic attack once because it was complete darkness. I don't really remember what happened but I felt a hand touching me and I got so scared I screamed. I couldn't breath and I felt all kinds of scary things being near me but I couldn't see them and that made me panic even more. Fortunately, my mom came in time for me not to go crazy."
I actually don't remember much but that was a hell of an experience. I was four years old and home alone. I know, you don't leave your kid when you go out to eat but my parents had hired a babysitter, who had also left me to go on a walk with her boyfriend. She thought I was sleeping. The minute my parents found out, she was fired and sued.
"From that day, the moment the sun was about to set I used to storm to a place with lights on. Even when I was a teen, I couldn't really hang out with my friends at night, go to clubs, go on night walks etc."
"You had friends?" Her head pops up again and I strangle her while laughing,
"You can't go one minute without making fun of me, can you?"
"No, but please go on, I'll try to note it down." She smiles up at me with her honey dripping hazel eyes. Her dimples make me melt. I sigh and fall on the bed again,
"One day I was staring out the window and felt someone behind me. It was Enzo." I smile at the memory, "He smiled at me and told me he had to show me something. I told him I don't go out at night."
"I know you don't, let me make you change your mind." He takes my hand and leads me outside.
He takes me to a spot behind a park where a beautiful valley is and I hold his hand tight, scared everything will be completely dark.
"Look up."
I do.
"And I fell in love, Winnie." I look at the ceiling lost in thought, "I fell in love with the stars. They light up the sky so beautifully."
"Ever since, I wasn't afraid to go out at night, I wasn't afraid to close the lights, I wasn't afraid of the darkness." I turn to look at her and I grin at her lazy smile while listening to me, "But then he died."
Her eyebrows lower and her smile fades.
"He made me get over my fear of darkness, and he made me love the stars. We used to go there together, at night after practice for the event to stare at the stars, try to find patterns and make up fake names for them."
I notice her eyes watering and I cup her face, "And that's why I got it, to never forget him. Because of the stars I got over my fear of the darkness. And without dark, we'd never see the stars." I take her hand that was caressing my tattoo and kiss it.
She smiles and grabs my face, kissing me softly on the lips, "I love it. The tattoo."
"I love it. Your smile." I kiss her back and she giggles.
"Am I ever going to know what happened with Enzo?" She plays with my hair and I place her on my lap, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear,
"That's a story for a different day." The look in her eyes tells me she understands and I smile, gently remove her from my lap, put my boxers on and take her hand,
"Hey, I'm naked!" She grabs the sheets on her way and rolls it on her. I lead us to the balcony and place her on the glass railings, holding her waist while staring at the stars,
"You see that one?" I point at a star, "That's Archie." She turns to look at me with a frown, "I gave it that name. You see the little line at the top?" She nods, "It's like it arches. So its name is now Archie." I hear her laugh,
"Show me another one." She says and my heart makes a little movement wich it scares me. What the heck was that? Why is it beating so fast?
I look for a star that can be named and when I find one I point at it, "That one. It's definitely a boy. It's very round. Hmm... Atlas suits it."
She turns to me with a big ass smile and my heart melts again. Shit.
"Can I try?"
"Of course."
"Okay hmm." She scans the sky for a moment and her face lights up when she points at one, "That one! It's too small and cute, definitely a girl."
"Wow you're good. What would you name it?"
"Bella." She smiles proudly.
"Wow, Winslow. You're a natural at this." I take her waist and turn her around to face me. I kiss her and get us inside. Depending the kiss, I drop the sheet off her body. She gasps and I smile into the kiss. I take her hand and lead her to the shower. I open the shower door and turn on the water, waiting for it to heat. When it does I take off my boxers. I glance at her and notice her frowning but surprised when she sees all of me. She looks up at me and I grab her face kissing her, gently leading her to the shower by her waist. She smiles when I take the shampoo bottle and shampoo her hair.
"Who knew you can be this sweet." I scrub her scalp and the shampoo smells so good it fills the room with vanilla scent.
"Only for you." I kiss her again, smiling into the kiss and gasping when she starts to run her hands on my body.
"My turn to clean you." She applies shampoo on her hands and starts rubbing my shoulders, torso, and down my legs. God this woman is going to be the death of me. She takes my breath away every time.
She would punch me and I'd thank her.
We finish showering and shampooing each other, get dressed and lay on the bed.
"Well this was an unforgettable night." She quietly murmurs before closing her eyes and falling asleep in my arms.
