Everett

Where am I?

Why is the ceiling white?

Why am I laying down?

What the hell is going on?

"You're awake oh God finally." A beautiful voice says relieved. I try to turn my head in the direction of the voice and scan the room with my blurry vision. "Everett? Can you hear me?" Again. It sounds so angelic, like I'm in heaven.

Wait a damn minute.

Did I die?

"Everett Oh my God please say something." I finally look in her direction. Hazel eyes. Like dripping honey. Wow is this how angels in heaven look like?

They're beyond gorgeous.

"Who are you?" I choke out.

Her eyes widen. She begins to grow nervous. She blinks once, twice, trying to process. "You don't remember me?"

"Do I know you?" I squint my eyes. She looks so magically beautiful, so effortlessly mesmerising.

"Oh God please tell me you're joking." She almost goes pale.

"I am." I chuckle and notice the look on her face change to relief and her colour going back to normal.

"You're a jerk. You scared the shit out of me I thought you lost your memory!" She hits me on the arm. I sit up on the hospital bed and smile at her,

"You should have seen your face. You looked so worried it was cute as hell."

"I swear I regret bringing you to the hospital." She rolls her eyes and leans back on the chair she's sitting on. I bite back a smile and get up to wrap my arms around her, hugging her tight.

"I missed you."

"Huh?" She places her hands around my back.

"Thank you for bringing me here. Can you tell me what happened after I fainted?" I pull back and stare into her beautiful eyes.

"Are you okay now?"

"Mhm." I push a strand of hair behind her ear.

"We took care of them. Both are dead you don't have to worry." She smiles proudly up at me.

"How?" I continue rubbing her cheek.

"Torture. We got what we wanted. They died not long after you passed out."

"That's my girl." I grin down at her and pull her in a soft kiss. "Can we go back home now?"

"Your father still hates me."

"I'll talk to him."

"No Everett. I just want him to let me talk to him so I can apologize."

"You don't have to be scared of him, Winnie. I'm sure he'll understand."

She nods and I smile, kissing her hand.

I'm putting some clothes on after showering and hear my door knock.

"Yes?" I shout out.

"Everett man, come out for a minute." Cassius says. I walk to the door and open it, putting on my shirt.

"What's going on?"

"Your dad is yelling at her, I don't know what to do."

I shut the door closed and run downstairs.

"Mr. Levan just let me-" I hear her voice.

"I swear to God if I listen to one more word you say I'm going to-"
