Changing Perspective ~Chapter 22

Chapter 22

"Bridget!" I shout, but before I can do anything Elliot pushes her out of the way, Deep Blue's sword just missing his torso.

"Damn." Deep Blue looks in my direction, and lunges at me. I jump out of the way, and when Deep Blue stops, I turn around and kick him in the side.

"Ember Yo-Yo! Flame Shock!" I shout, swinging the yo-yo his way. It ties around his arm, and he cries out when it activates. The other Cyniclons watch as Deep Blue comes back at me and we start to fight.

"Vanessa!" Bridget shouts from where she landed, on the ground with Elliot.

"I'm fine!" I exclaim. Kikki comes up behind Deep Blue, and jumps on his back. He pushes her off and she lands on her feet.

"Tambourine Trench!" The attack causes a large trench in the ground, tripping Deep Blue.

"Tarb! Subdue that damn monkey." Deep blue shouts. Tarb dosn't move.

"B-but-" He starts but Deep Blue shouts.

"Now!" Tarb hesitates, but than flies towards Kikki, throwing his clacker toy/weapon at her. It ties around her arms, making her unable to move.

"Kikki!" Renee runs towards Kikki, but Tarb grabs the strings, pulling her into the air. Renee swears under her breath. While Renee is distracted with Kikki, Corina and Bridget are fighting with Sardon and Dren who have joined the fight. Deep Blue jumps at me again, sword aimed at my chest, and I just make it out of the way. Zoey runs next to me, Strawberry Bell held up in front of her.

"Need any help?" Zoey smiles.

"Lots." I laugh.

"Let's go." Zoey says, before jumping towards Deep Blue. "Strawberry Bell, Full Power!" The attack hit straight on, and Deep Blue flew backwards, but he dosn't seem to be hurt that much.

"Ember Yo-yo, Flare Blitz Attack!" My attack hits as well, but just like Zoey's it only does a bit of damage.

"Hey Kitty Cat, Foxy!" Dren calls from behind us. Zoey and I turn, and Dren has Bridget pushed up against a wall, his Dragon Sword up on her neck.

"Bridget!!!" Zoey and I shout. I do the first thing I think of, which is to run as fast as possible to Dren and Bridget. When I get there I'm just about to attack Dren, when he pulls Bridget off the wall and in front of him, the dagger still on her throat. Dren has an evil smirk on his face, but then I hear a bump from behind. Dren stops smirking, and just has a disappointed look on his face.

"Vanessa!" Bridget shouts.

"Look out!" Zoey shouts from behind. I turn at the last second, but Deep Blue pushes me down with the dull side of his sword blade. Zoey gets up off the ground (Her fall must've been the bump I heard), running at Deep Blue, but he trips her. He stands over me, and puts the tip of the sword blade over my stomach, and smirks.

"Goodbye, Mew Mew." He laughs. He lifts the sword slightly, and I try to squirm out of the way, but I can't.

"Vanessa!" Kikki, Corina, Renee, Bridget, Zoey, Elliot, and someone else shout. I look up at my friends for the last time as they run towards me. I smile slightly at them and close my eyes, bracing myself for the pain, but then just as Deep Blue was about to drive the sword into my stomach, he got knocked off of me. I open my eyes to see Dren standing next to me facing Deep Blue , and Tarb and Sardon holding Deep Blue down. I walk quickly to the other Mew Mews and Elliot.

"Um... What just happened?" I ask quietly so only the girls and Elliot can hear.

"I have no idea, but i like it." Corina laughs.

"What the hell are you doing fools!? Get off me, and attack the enemy!" Deep Blue exclaims furiously.

"I don't wanna fight with them anymore!" Tarb shouts.

"And we don't need to either." Sardon states.

"Yeah!" Dren says.

"Fools! Do you want your kind to survive?" Deep Blue shouts.

"All we need to do for our people and our planet is Blue Aqua!" Sardon explains. I take a few steps closer.

"Thanks guys." I wave. Dren, Tarb, and Sardon smile. Shocking me, Deep Blue jumps from Sardon and Tarb, and attacks the person closest to him, which is of course me.

"Nessa!" I hear Bridget and Kikki behind me. Deep Blue crashes on top of me, and since he dropped his sword, starts hitting me. After he gets me in the face a few times, I kick up my foot, and I get his stomach. He cries out and falls back. Renee helps me up, and I walk back to the girls. Dren jumps on Deep Blue's back, and holds the Dragon Swords to his throat.

"Make one more move towards those girls. I dare you." Dren says angrily into Deep Blue's ear.

"Taru-Taru!" Kikki shouts waving at Tarb.

"It's Tarb!" Tarb says as he walks over to Kikki. She runs over, and crushes him in a hug. "Kikki, you're kinda killing me.''

"Sorry Taru-Taru." Kikki laughs. Dren is still on Deep Blue's back, and Deep Blue hasn't moved, but he's giving the other Mew Mews and I an angry look.

"You wouldn't do it Dren.'' Deep Blue laughs. Dren moves the blade closer, but without warning Deep Blue somehow throws him off. Deep Blue runs towards the Mew Mews and I. He goes for Corina, but I see it before he gets close, and I crash into him with all my strength. He falls down in the other direction, and Dren pins him down again with Sardon and Elliot's help.

''Thanks.'' Corina smiles. I nod, smiling back.

''See Dren?'' Deep Blue laughs. Dren gets a very angry look on his face, and he takes his Dragon Swords, putting both tips on Deep Blue's chest. He lifts them up, and is about to plunge them into his chest, when Sardon stops him.

''Dren, no matter what he's done the Cyniclons trust him, and think he knows best. Instead of killing him, we need to keep him alive until we have come up with another solution.'' Sardon explains.

''Ugh, fine.'' Dren stands up.

''Here.'' Elliot says handing Sardon handcuffs. Where did he get handcuffs? Oh well. Sardon nods, and then puts the cuffs on Deep Blue.

''Crap!'' I exclaim. I was just supposed to be going to Bridget's house and then going home.

''What's wrong?'' Bridget looks to me, concerned.

''I told Dawn I was going to your house because I forgot something, but I have no idea how long we've been here!'' I say. I transform quickly back to my regular clothes.

''I gotta go! See ya later girls, Elliot. Thanks Dren, Tarb, Sardon. Screw you Deep Blue. Bye!'' I say, and then I speed home.

When I run into the house Dawn in right inside the door.

''H-hey Dawn.'' I smile nervously.

''Hello Vanessa. Do you know how long you've been gone?'' Dawn smiles.

''N-no.'' I say.

''Almost two hours. Thought you were going to Bridget's because you forgot something.'' Dawn says sweetly, and she's starting to freak me out.

''Well, I couldn't find it, and then Bridget's mom was asking me some stuff, and I just lost track of time.''

''What did you forget? You don't have anything with you.'' Dawn looks at my hands.

''Oh. Shit, I forgot it again. It's my sweater. I'll just get it tomorrow. Sorry Dawn.'' I smile as sweetly as her.

''You better not be this late again Nessa.'' Dawn says, being serious now.

''I won't.'' I lower my head in defeat. I just fought a huge Predasite and four Cyniclons, but I can't win against my sister? Jeez.

''That's right. Goodnight Vanessa.'' Dawn smiles, and I walk up the stairs. ''Love you Nessa!''

''Love you too Dawn'' I laugh as I walk to my room.
