Changing Perspective -Chapter 10

Chapter 10

''Ugggggh!! I'm hungry!! I'm thirsty too!'' Dren whines.

''Quit whining, Dren! I'm hungry too!'' I snap at him. There has to be something to eat or drink in here!! I don't even care what it is!

''We need to search some more! There has to be something here we can eat and drink!'' I say.

''Where are we supposed to look!? We've looked everywhere! Also I'm sick of being down here with you!!'' Dren yells.

''...Y-you think I LIKE Being down here with you!? This sucks! It completely sucks! I hate that we have nothing to eat or drink! I hate that I don't get to see Bridget or the other Mew Mews! I hate this!!'' I snap.

''I'm gonna look for food..'' Dren says, looking mad.

''And I'll look for water...'' I say, and we go our separate ways for the first time since we entered this place.

***Five Minutes Later***

I havn't seen any food or water ... again. I wonder how far I could possibly go before finding any. I havn't seen much of anything, not that I expected to. I've seen rocks, and cracks, and dirt, and ... more rocks, but not much else. Although, I really havn't gone too far. I wonder if Dren has found anything... What if he found a way out and left me here alone! I wouldn't survive.. I don't think he would do that, but we do hate each other so you never know. I have a feeling he won't though. I'll just keep on walking. Hopefully I find something soon. As I walk it is completely silent, and that's when I hear it.

''Running water! It must be close!'' I say quietly to myself happily! I've found it! So, I run. I follow the sound until I seen a little tunnel that looks like a hall way. It's really dark in there, but if there's water that where I'm gonna be! Slowly, I walk through the hallway. It's pretty long but I do see a small dim light at the end. The sound of the water gets louder and I'm so thirsty, it's great!

When I exit the tunnel I'm so shocked I can't help but laugh a little.

''It's beautiful!'' I say, in awe. There's grass everywhere with trees, covered in fruits. Vegetables growing. A small waterfall the flows into a clear, sparkly lake. I have absolutely NO idea how this happened, but I couldn't be more grateful. I can tell that the clear, blue water is clean. This is amazing! It's so amazing that I almost forget that Dren is here too. I HAVE to find him! The moment I think that, Dren runs through a tunnel on the opposite side that I came through.

''DREN! Look at all this! This is great!'' I call to him happily.

''Whoa... Vanessa, how'd this get here?'' He asks me, in awe as well. I can't help but smile.

''I have absolutely no idea! But I don't really need an explanation.'' I say. Dren smiles back to me and I run over to him.

''Well? What are you waiting for? Eat!! Drink!! We're not gonna starve!!'' I say to him, laughing out loud for the first time in what feels like days. Then we have a feast of clean water, and apples.
