Changing Perspective -Chapter 11

Chapter 11

''Dren!! That's MY apple!!'' I grab it back form him giggling. We just finished stuffing our faces and for some reason I just cannot stop laughing. I guess that's what eating after days of not eating does to a person.

''Well, I want another one!'' He says laughing.

''Then go to a frigging tree and pick one!'' I laugh. So he gets up, grabs three apples, and tries to juggle them... Failing at it I might add.

''Haha, nice job.'' I say, teasing him. This is the first time we've gotten along since I met him, about two and a half weeks ago I think. I am starting to lose track of how long we've been here, so it may be a little longer. Anyway, we do have to find a way out, but I think we need a break.

''Hey Foxy...!?'' Dren calls.

''Yeah, what?'' I say still giggling.

''It's getting darker again...'' He says.

''What..?'' I say, sadly. Dren's right.. Well this sucks. Well, at least it will turn light again. It's done it alot.

''It's all good! It'll get light again! In the mean time, I'm going to sleep! I'm tired!!'' I say half smiling.

''Alright, I'll do the same.'' He says. We lay in the grass, that's REALLY soft and long in some places, and go to sleep.

***The Next Morning***

I wake up and, like I said, it's getting lighter again. I just keep laying down until I hear something breathing beside me. I slowly turn over to see Dren, sleeping soundly ... Right next to me.

I jump up and I scream!

''AHH!!'' Dren screams!

''What are you DOING!? I almost had a heart attack!!'' He yells.

''Heh heh heh... yeah sorry about that. You scared me, that's all.'' I say quietly

''I scared YOU!? Really? I thought it was the other way around.'' He says confused.

''Well, I woke up and you were beside me and I didn't know. It startled me.. Sorry.'' I tell him.

''Oh, well it's all good.'' He says, his breathing still kinda fast. We fully wake up and go grab some fruit from the trees, and water from the lake.

''So, Dren?'' I start up a conversation, because we were going silent again.

''Yeah?'' He says.

''How are we gonna get out of here? I mean, we've got lots of food and water, but we do need to get out.'' I say, then I yawn.

''Well... Um, I have no idea at the moment.'' He says sadly. I hope we figure it out soon. Though we seem to be getting along now, it may not last forever..

''Alright, so lets do something fun! I'm bored!'' I say, because I really am.

''Okay.. like what?'' He asks.

''Oh, I don't know... Lets explore our little clearing, we've only seen the main spot.'' I decide.

''Alright, but I don't think there's gonna be much to see.'' He says and we head off to look around!
