Before any healing process can begin, you have to acknowledge the fact that you're aching. Stop lying to yourself, you're not "fine." In fact, you're in pain, but you somehow think that shoving it under the mat will make it go away. Suppression of symptoms will only lead to more major ones.

Stop and feel. Are you still clinging to the past? Do you still remember the incident every time you see the scar? Are you telling yourself that you are well even though you body is crying for help?

You have to own your feelings, completely. Because that is the first step to healing you.
