Family
It has been two days since the vacation happened. Were still not on speaking terms. Pabor na sa akin yon.
I'm constantly trying to think of and come up with ways to survive without Higuera's help. I tried to remember kung may sinabi si Daddy tungkol sa mga kapamilya ni Mommy pero wala talaga akong maalala. Gusto kong umalis dito pero wala akong ibang mapupuntahan. My dad's relatives might bring me back to Tita Sarhie if I run to them for help.
I puff a breath and hug my pillows tightly.
"Is she asleep?" Rinig ko ang tinig ni Ash sa labas.
Bahagya akong bumangon at nilingon ang pinto.
They're muffle voices outside he must be talking to Anne.
"Hindi po ginalaw, Senyorito." I heard Anne's voice but it was too shallow to hear.
Bumalik ako sa pagkakahiga at tinabunan ng unan ang aking tenga. I don't want to think about him. It aggravates me even more.
I rubbed my tummy while I tried to sleep. I didn't hear the voices outside anymore so I breathed a sigh of relief and settled down.
Maaga akong nagtungo sa kusina. For the past few days I stayed in the kitchen every morning. Hindi kasi nagagawi rito si Ash. He doesn't eat his breakfast at diretso na siyang aalis mas minabuti kong mag stay rito kaysa sa living room.
"Goodmoring senyorita!" Anne greeted me so warmly.
In fornt of her is a strawberry shortcake. Nilalabas niya ito sa box ng dumating ako.
"Morning." I murnured and sat infront of her.
"Kanino yan?" I ask.
It has a delectable appearance, and the strawberry frosting is really alluring. I'm getting taboo feelings from the aroma.
"Para sa inyo po. Pasalubong ni Senyorito Ash kagabi. Tulog ka na po kaya ngayon ko ito ihahain sa inyo."
My smile gradually fades and turns bitter.
"Sigurado ka? Baka hindi akin yan. "
Kumunot ang noo niya at nahinto sa ginagawa. Her lips parted as she tried to remember what was instructed to her.
"Pero ang sabi ni Sir ay ihanda raw ito sayo." Aniya.
"Baka pinapatago niya lang. " dahilan ko pa.
"Hindi po. Para sayo po talaga ito. "
Kinagat ko ang aking labi.
"Ibalik mo na, Anne...hindi ko gusto ng matatamis ngayon."
Lumungkot ang mukha ni Anne.
"Sige po. Sabihin niyo lang po kung nagbago na ang isip niyo."
Ngumiti ako at tumango.
Matapos mag agahan nag pasya akong tumambay sa garden. Anne was busy putting food in her little basket. When she opens the next fridge she grabs the bowl of strawberries and places it in the basket. I would have complained but remained silent
Tahimik ko lang siyang pinanood na kunin ang dapat kunin. We went out of the mansion and went directly to the tree where I usually kill time.
Humiga ako sa ratan na duyan at nilingon si Anne.
"Anne, sayo na yang mga strawberry, sayang at mabubulok lang."
"Bakit po? Ayaw niyo na nito? "
Tumango ako.
