Drunk

Habang nagbabasa ng libro biglang sumagi sa isip ko yung phone ko. Tumayo ako at pumunta sa pinto para i-lock ito. Pagkatapos ay pumunta ako sa walk in closet at kinuha ang aking bagahe. I open the small compartment inside and grab my old phone.

I tried to switch it on and, thankfully, it lit up. The battery percentage is still fifty six percent.

My heart rate increased as I received numerous missed calls from Tita Sarhie. She sent me a ton of messages too.

Anong ginawa mo kay Ava!?!

Idadagdag ko ito sa utang mo!! Ava's medical and derma bill. If you don't pay at the end of this month ipapakulong kita!!

Binitawan ko ang telepno at tinago ito ulit. Nanginginig lahat ng kalamnan ko. I went out of the walk in closet and went outside the terrace to catch my breath.

I can't breathe properly.

Yumuko ako as tears went falling down. Natatakot ako, I'm scared of what may happen. My insides are shaking with fear. I clenched my chest as I tried to find air. Knowing Tita Sarhie she will do anything to torment me.

Napabalikwas ako ng marinig ang katok sa aking pinto. I wipe my tears and composed myself before opening the door. Bumuga ako ng hangin at binuksan ang pinto.

Maliit na siwang ang aking ginagawa. Ash face welcome me. Umiwas ako agad ng tingin. He can't see my swollen eyes. Sa lahat ng pwede tumayo sa aking harapan siya pa talaga.

"Are you ready? It's almost eleven." His deep manly voice never fails to make me shiver.

Nagbaba ako ng tingin habang hinaharap siya.

"I...uh."

Nagulat ako ng ina-ngat niya ang aking mukha. His brows met as he scanned my face. Napaatras ako ng binuksan niya ang pinto at pumasok sa loob.

"Ano..." I tried to come up with an excuse as he strides inside and tower over me. "...masama lang ang pakiramdam ko..."

Nanliit ako bigla sa kanyang harapan. Kumalabog sa kaba ng puso ko. I massage my hand to ease the nervousness.

I flinched when he placed his palm on my forehead. I tilt my head to remove his hand.

"I don't have a fever...i just feel nauseous." Dahilan ko.

Bumuntong hininga siya.

"I'll call Erena." He said worry lace in his voice. "Do you want to eat something? I'll get it for you immediately..."

Umiling ako.

"I just want to rest. "

"Alright, I will reschedule our appointment today. Rest, Cera. Erena will be here..."

Tumango ako at tinalikuran siya.

After an hour, Doctora Subada arrived. She smiled at me as she placed her things on my bed. Ash was in my room, nakasandal sa pader habang pinapanood ang ginagawa namin. She instructed me some maternal advice and introduced me to some nutritious foods to help me reduce my nausea.

"Cera, lift your shirt." She instructed.

Natigilan ako at tinignan si Ash. Napansin yun ni Doctora kaya tumikhim siya.

"Talikod ka muna Ash..." nilignon niya ako. "...just expose your stomach." she smiled.

Sumunod ako...I watch her put gel on the thing she was holding.
