The next morning, Ashleigh ran into the auditorium...
"Ashleigh, you're late." Brittany said.
"I'm sorry."

"Ashleigh, you're fine not coming, but I'm impressed with your progress." Will says.
"Can I go?" Ashleigh asked.
Will nodded.
Mercedes walked over to them, and Ashleigh walked away.
"I overslept." Mercedes said.
"It's 4:30 in the afternoon." Quinn said.
"My alarm clock went off 30 minutes late this morning. Kind shift my whole schedule. Anyway, what's Santana doing here?" Asked Mercedes.
"I've re-sworn my allegiance to the Glee Club... without telling coach. And I've already apologised to Ashleigh for almost getting her burned alive." Said Santana.
"Mercedes, come; I'll catch you up." Mike says.
Mercedes followed him.
"Five, six, seven." Mike said.
Mercedes twirled, and she ran over to the side.
"Mercedes, are you okay?" Will asked, walking over to her and putting his hand on her shoulder.
"My stomach hurts. I think I'm gonna be sick." Mercedes muttered.
"Why are you babying her?" Santana asked. "She can't do three steps without puking, 'cause she ate a Quiznos before she showed up here."
"Mr. Schue, you have us scheduled for the second right now. With school, Glee Club, and Booty Camp, when else am I supposed to eat?" Mercedes asked.
"When the rest of us do." Santana tells her. "I'm not losing nationals because you want a burger, or you've got a stitch."
"Guys, it's not about eating. Sectionals are coming up, and if we don't give it our all... Ashleigh, Rachel, Blaine, and everyone in that group are literally practicing their vocals day and night." Said Will.
"I am doing my best." Mercedes tells him.
"No, you're not. This isn't about doing your best anymore. It's about doing better." Will says.
