Still with Kurt and Rachel...

"You're gonna be amazing. I... I believe in you, and no one can sing this song better than you." Rachel said.

"Wait. Wait, even better than Ashleigh Berry?" Kurt asked, looking at her.

"Uh, go... go get 'em." Rachel tells him.

Kurt puts the half-face mask down and walks onto the stage.

"Hello. I'm Kurt Hummel, and I'll be performing "Music of the Night." Kurt said.

"Wait, he's performing that? Why? No. No, he needs..." Ashleigh said, looking over at Blaine.

Blaine shakes his head, taking her hand in his.

"By Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. Which I bet you hear a lot of. That song." Kurt said.

"That, "The Impossible Dream" from La Mancha, and "Being Alive" from Company, yes." Said Carmen.

"He's gone too easy. Why did he listen to Rachel..." Ashleigh whispered, sitting back in her seat.

"It's a safe and standard choice." Kurt tells her.

Kurt looked over at Ashleigh, Blaine, and Will, and Ashleigh shook her head.

"Which is why I've decided to change things up a bit." Kurt said, removing the mask from his face. "Here, in the 11th hour, I've decided to go in a different direction."

Ashleigh placed her other hand against her lips.

"Not The Boy Next Door." Ashleigh mouthed at him, nodding her head.

"Not The Boy Next Door," from the Peter Allen bio-musical The Boy from Oz." Kurt says, looking over at Rachel. "Ladies? I had my swans on standby."

Will and Ashleigh stood up, clapping their hands, and Ashleigh nodded her head at Kurt. Rachel and Blaine just clapped.

Ashleigh and Will quickly sat back down

Ashleigh and Will quickly sat back down.

"You know, Hugh Jackman won a Tony Award for playing Peter Allen." Carmen tells him.

Kurt nodded quickly at her.

"Hugh trained with me the summer I was in residence at the Sydney Opera House, and I'm certain that he would have been... as impressed with what you did with that song as I am. A bold choice, young man." Said Carmen.

Ashleigh smiled, looking at Blaine and Will.

"I congratulate you for taking such a risk today." Carmen said.
