The next morning, Ashleigh was standing in Figgins's office with Will, Finn, and Shelby...
"I don't get why she needs to be here. Yeah, I get it. I'm in trouble for slapping Finn... can't you just call one of my fathers to come pick me up?" Ashleigh asked, mumbling to herself.
"I'm sorry, but since a student lit firecrackers... stuffed down his pants three years ago, we've had a zero-tolerance physical violence policy. Ashleigh, you know this." Figgins says.
"I know. So what you gonna do? Exclude me? Ban me from performing at sectionals..." Said Ashleigh.
"I think she needs to be punished." Shelby says.
"Let me ask you all something, yeah? Have you suspended anyone who's been tossing Slushees in our faces for the last how many years?" Ashleigh asked, arching a brow at Figgins.
"Lose the attitude." Shelby tells her.
"You don't get to tell me what to do, all right? You're nothing but a teacher to me." Ashleigh says, glaring at her.
"Slushees are not on the school board's approved list of suspend-worthy weapons." Said Figgins.
"Have you ever been hit with one, hmm? Right in the eyes... it fricking hurts. I barely touched him anyway." Ashleigh says.
"Ashleigh, you slapped him unprovoked. She should be banned from sectionals." Said Shelby.
"Didn't I say to mind your own business?" Ashleigh asked. "I can't help my actions when I go into rage mode... yeah, Santana and I aren't close friends anymore, but what he did was wrong."
"I'm suspending you for two weeks. No argument." Figgins says.
"B... but we've got sectionals next week. Mr. Schue, come on, you need me to take down Shelby's crap group." Ashleigh muttered.
"I'm sorry, Ashleigh; sectionals are important, and we could've used you, but you need to be punished for what you did." Will tells her.
"I have to agree." Said Shelby.
Ashleigh groaned.
"This is absolutely garbage. Then I hope you both lose! He's fine! Look, not even a mark on him. I've had the worst done to me at this school. You all remember that, right? I still get nightmares, and you all let Dave Karofsky come back." Ashleigh tells them.
"She's right. She didn't slap me. Look, Mr. Schue, I know it looked and sounded like she did, but she really didn't. What's it called in a play or movie... when you pretend to hit someone but you actually don't?" Finn asked, standing up and staring at Shelby.
"Um, a stage slap?" Will asked.
"It was a stage slap we were learning in case we, uh, ever needed it for the plays or the musicals. That's what it was. She didn't slap me."
