As I descended off the bike at the school gate, I noticed one of my girl classmates , shrngrka, who just reached coming towards my side. I greeted her and she commented that I was looking good. And I reciprocated.
We both climbed the chairs together until we reached our classrooms. Half of the my class was on terrace and the other half was about to move with graceful roses in their hands. As if they were going to propose someone. Those roses were meant to give to the teachers. When I entered the class, I asked people fifteen times ,"Where is Harshita?"
She was the only one I could talk to. Then someone I don't remember who, told me that I have some duty in the assembly. I was one mm close to a heart attack. I followed my classmates who were going to terrace. I stood at the entrance and looked far and wide to spot Harshita but before that I encountered two unique sites.
The first site lying towards my left where there was a little bit crowd and noise and through a tiny gap between the crowd , I could see BP looking at me. He was talking to someone but his eyes set on me. I felt a little bit weird. But this eye to eye comedy lasted for five seconds after my shyness turned my eyes away.
The second site ,which lied neither left nor right , but in front of me just few millimetres away. It was Raj and in his case the matter was hot. He stood still and stared as if turned into a stone by some Medusa(not me). But both times I would snap it to focus finding Harshita.
Then after enquiring Sid, I finally spotted her sitting on the benches with others at the side wall. I joined her and cried all my depression out.
I had a good time with all my classmates. We enjoyed clicking the photos and I too got a rose in order to give it to a teacher.
But I didn't. I have hated this breed of teachers since ages. So, I kept this rose.
Harshita wanted to have more roses , so she asked one from a commerce student. He said ," Girlfriend ko dena h!"
Then Anveshika asked Blessing, who was passing by, for roses. Blessing had a rose in his pocket. He replied amusingly to her,
" Main ese kese de du, koi kya hi samjhega!"
Then he ran away.
A skit was performed in which everyone was stunned by the Sarthak's role as the Principal. Then after the cake cutting ceremony, we all headed towards the classroom.
All day long, I followed a group of my classmates comprising Shrngrka, Aayushi , Harshad mainly and Akshat and B.P., partially. I silently followed them but the silence this time didn't seem awkward as I was cheered up to listen the talks of all.
Little do they know that I wrote them in this book.
Their talks, laughs , humour and comical scenes are entwined with the bonds they shared with each other , made me delightful. Even though I was not a complete part of their group but still I was happy to have such comrades.
This day too ended like others but became "one of my best days".
