First of all, thank you all for the well wishes. My wrist should be better in a few weeks.

Jaime and Lyanna talk and have a small moment before they are rudely interrupted. Lyanna talks to Tywin and lets him know she is not to be played with. Tywin and Lyanna plot together. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

Jaime should feel sad, he should be crying or at least feeling a sense of loss. His son was dead, his firstborn, but then Jaime had never seen Joffrey as his. The boy had been cruel and never liked being close to Jaime. But still, he had been his son and Jaime should be feeling a sense of loss. Cersei was grief-stricken, she kept crying and screaming, while Robert had retired to his chambers and had not been seen since then. Jaime was thankful for his father, Tywin had taken control immediately and made sure Joffrey's body was taken away. Cersei had attempted to blame Oberyn and Lyarra Martell, pointing out how strange it was that they had left Kings Landing in a hurry. Tywin had shut down that idea, informing them that a few hours before Joffrey had died Oberyn had gotten a raven from Dorne, letting him know that his nephew Trystane had been murdered. His father had made it clear that Cersei was not to do anything against the Martells, the crown could not afford a war with Dorne. Jon Arryn had been locked in with the king and no one knew what they were planning.
Jaime entered his chambers, it was already late, and the sun had gone down. He had not seen Lyanna since the wedding feast and he wanted to make sure she was well. In Cersei's state of mind, he was not sure what she was capable of. He had to make sure his sister had not hurt his wife. He came to a halt when he found Lyanna sitting on the large settee, Tommen's head was lying on her lap while she ran her hand over his head, humming a tune Jaime had never heard before. Tommen appeared to be deeply asleep, while Myrcella was sitting by the table, a plate of barely touched food in front of her. Jaime was not sure why, but the sight of Lyanna with Tommen tugged at his heart and he almost rubbed his chest. Lyanna stopped humming when she saw him there and stood up carefully removing Tommen's head from her lap. She approached him, giving him a calming smile before gesturing with her head for them to move away from the solar.
"How are you feeling?" They stopped by the bed and Lyanna touched his arm. "I am sorry about Joffrey."
"I know you did not like him."
"I did not, Joffrey was petty and cruel." She sighed and shook her head. "But I know what he was to you."
"He did not mean what you think he did." Jaime ran a hand through his hair, attempting to calm down. He was so tired, it felt like he had not slept in days. "I wanted to make sure you were well. I did not know Tommen and Myrcella were here with you."
"Yes, when everything happened with Joffrey I thought it best to get them out of there. They did not need to see that and they both looked very scared." She looked towards the solar, making sure the children were not listening. "I was able to get Tommen to eat something and then he fell asleep. Myrcella has not eaten much."
"Thank you. We all forgot about them after what happened to Joffrey." He felt awful admitting that. Everyone always forgot about Tommen and Myrcella when Joffrey was around. Jaime could not blame his children for liking Lyanna, she was the only one that gave them her undivided attention. "I am glad they have you to look out for them."
Jaime moved closer to her, one of his hands caressing the side of her face. He could not help but stare at her rosebud lips, he was a bit caught off guard when he realized how much he wanted to kiss her. For some unknown reason he found comfort in Lyanna, he felt more calm when he was near her. Their faces moved closer, almost like they were being pulled together by a string. Their breaths intertwined, their lips about to touch when their chamber doors were slammed open and Tyrion ran in.
Lyanna and Jaime jumped apart, almost like they were caught doing something they should not. Lyanna cleared her throat, before looking at Tyrion and frowned. Jaime looked at his brother, who was looking a bit pale and worried. Tyrion was not one to look worried, he preferred to leave that to other people.
"There have been some more issues." Tyrion lowered his voice, not wanting the children to hear. "King Robert and Jon Arryn were found dead in the king's chambers."
"What?" Jaime could not help but be shocked. "What do you mean dead?"
"Dead, as in not alive any longer." Tyrion looked at him like he was soft in the head. Tyrion cleared his throat, before looking at Lyanna, a guilty look on his face. "My sister believes Ned Stark was the one who killed Robert because of what the king attempted to do to Lyanna. Since everyone heard about the screaming match between the king and Ned, they are not questioning things much."
"What?" The look on Lyanna's face changed, her eyes narrowed as she stared at Tyrion. "They are attempting to blame my father? Why?"
"Well..." Tyrion did not get much out.
"Do not give me any platitudes." Lyanna interrupted Jaime's brother before he could continue. "I am well aware your sister does not truly believe my father was the one that killed the king. What did Tywin say about it?"
"There is not much he can say about it." Tyrion shrugged. "Whatever might happen Cersei is the queen. Right now the king is a ten name day child, she is the regent."
"I do not give a fuck what she is." Tyrion and Jaime were both startled by Lyanna's use of profanity. Jaime had never heard his wife curse. "Your father is the one in charge, we all know this. I will not allow my father to be used as a scapegoat."
Both Jaime and Tyrion were left with their mouths open as his wife stomped out of the chambers. He felt bad for his father, Lyanna's anger was something to see.
*********************************************************************************************************************************************************
Lyanna had moved past angry and gone directly to furious. She had gone to her parents's chambers to discover that her father had been arrested and taken to the black cells a few minutes earlier. Her mother had been inconsolable as Lyanna's sisters attempted to calm her. Lyanna was aware that Cersei was behind this, but she also knew Tywin was aware of it. Her good father knew about many things, he was always one step ahead of everyone else. He had to know Lyanna would not just stand there and let her father be executed for king slaying.
Lyanna made her way into Tywin's chambers, not allowing the guards to stop her. Tywin was accompanied by Petyr Baelish and Varys, both men looking at Lyanna wide-eyed as she glared at all of them.
"I need to speak to Lord Tywin." Lyanna looked at the two other men, who looked towards Tywin. She did not like that, while she had been thought to be respectful and polite towards others it did not mean Lyanna did not know how to impose herself when she needed to. "Did you not hear me? Get out!"
Both men jumped before leaving the chambers in a hurry. Lyanna waited until the doors had closed before looking back at her good father, who did not look happy at her outburst. A few days ago she would have apologized for her outburst, right now she was too upset to even think about apologizing.
"What do you think you are doing?" Tywin's voice was calm, but Lyanna was not fooled, he was angry, and well so was she.
"Why was my father arrested?"
"He was accused of king slaying." Tywin sat down, looking calm and unbothered. "We had to take measures."
"Take measures?" Lyanna lifted an eyebrow. "Under what grounds was he arrested? Is there any proof that he was the one that killed the king? Did anyone see him? How can you arrest a lord on someone's word alone."
"Not someone, the queen."
"Of course, because we all know how honest and reliable the queen is." Tywin's eyes narrowed at Lyanna's sarcastic tone. "I do not care if the seven themselves told you my father was the one to kill the king, you know that is not true."
"And how can I be sure of that?" Lyanna did not enjoy this conversation, it felt like he was playing with her and she did not have the patience for it. "Your father was heard fighting with the king, he had a motive to want the king dead."
"So did you." Tywin's gaze was hard as he looked at her, he did not enjoy being accused. Which was fine with Lyanna, she did not enjoy her father being accused either. "I know how upset you were when the king ordered to have me examined, how he planned to have my marriage with Jaime annulled. I know you Tywin, I have lived with you almost as long as I lived with my actual father. I know that you consider what happened an insult to you and the Lannister name, just like I know you will not let something like that pass. Should I accuse you of murdering the king? After all, you had more than enough motive to cause his death."
"I would advise you to be very careful with what you say." Tywin stood up, placing both hands on the table. "I do not appreciate being accused of something I did not do."
"Well, I do not appreciate my father being arrested for something he did not do." Lyanna crossed her arms over her chest. "I want my father freed, now."
"I do not take orders from you."
"My father will be freed tonight and he will be allowed to return home with my mother and sisters in the morning." Lyanna smiled at her good father. "Or you can forget about your legacy."
"What does that mean?" Tywin's eyes narrowed. "Are you threatening me?"
"It is not a threat. You would not want me to start taking moon tea, or being careless and let some secrets slip out." Lyanna moved closer to the desk. "What do you believe will happen to your legacy then?"
"You should be very careful Lyanna." Tywin walked around the desk. "I do not think you will enjoy what happens to people who threaten me."
"I am not scared of you." She was done being taken for granted. "I have been the perfect wife for the past seven years, not complaining about things, even when my husband left for years at a time. I made your house richer and helped you cultivate beneficial trade deals with several regions in the seven kingdoms. I might be a Lannister now, but I will always be a Stark and I will not allow my father to be used as a scapegoat."
"You should thread carefully." He moved closer to her. "You might not be as important as you believe yourself to be."
"I am Lyanna Stark of Winterfell. I have the blood of the winter kings running through my veins. You will not find someone better to meet your high standards." Lyanna took a step closer. "You will make sure my father is freed and is able to return home, or I will rally the North and bring this castle down on the queen's head."
Tywin stared at her as if he had never seen her before like he was just now realizing who she was. It was almost like the was looking at a stranger and was attempting to come up with a plan of attack. Lyanna was not playing when she told him she would rally the North. She had come to love the Lannisters and think of them as her family, but that did not mean she would pick them over her actual family. She would not allow her father to be murdered or tortured into making a false confession.
"I can see you have finally realized the power you hold." Lyanna could not help but frown, Tywin almost sounded proud. "I knew you would someday. Do not worry, I have no intentions of allowing your father to be killed, I do not need a war right now."
"So what are you waiting for?" If what he was saying was true then why was her father still in the black cells? "Because if what you are saying is true then I imagine you have a plan."
"Not a plan, a question." Lyanna gave Tywin a questioning look. "I am worried about Myrcella. Since Margaery's wedding with Joffrey was not consummated she is not considered a queen, or even a princess for that matter. The Tyrells are not happy about their sudden change in status, they have spoken to Cersei about wedding Myrcella to Loras Tyrell."
"Let us be honest, you are not truly worried about Myrcella. You have always known that as a princess her marriage would be arranged." Lyanna sat across from Tywin, her smile amused. "You do not trust the Tyrells and you do not want them to gain any more power than they already have."
"That is also true, but I also do not want my only granddaughter in the hands of Olenna Tyrell." Lyanna could not blame him, that woman was a snake and could not be trusted. "I need to come up with a way to protect Myrcella."
"Wed her to my brother Robb." Tywin looked at her in surprise, like he had never thought of the idea before. His face was thoughtful. "My older brother will be Lord Stark one day and he has not been promised to anyone as of yet. In the North, Myrcella would be safe and she would be well treated by Robb. He is an honorable man and will treat her like the princess she is."
"That is actually a good idea, I cannot believe I did not think about that."
"I do not think Myrcella would be the issue." Now it was Tywin who looked a bit confused. "Olenna was willing to wed her beloved granddaughter to Joffrey, who everyone knew was a cruel boy who enjoyed abusing people, especially pretty women, all to make her queen. What do you believe will happen now that Tommen is now the king?"
"They will try to get Margaery to wed him."
"Yes, and there is the issue of Tommen being a child." Lyanna tapped her finger on the desk. "He is easy to manipulate, to be molded into a puppet king for others to take advantage of."
She could see Tywin had not thought about the fact that the Tyrells might attempt to take over the iron throne. That was one of Tywin's mistakes, he tended to underestimate people, thinking they would not dare to go against him. Lyanna knew better, anyone would attempt to take over the seven kingdoms if they had a chance. Tommen and Myrcella were not safe as long as the Tyrells were not around. That family was not to be trusted, they were all snakes and climbers, reaching higher than their station. She could not allow them to hurt her family. Tommen and Myrcella would not be collateral damage in a war for power.
